I am a pluralist whos exploring paganism. I picked up a cool clearance book the other day called "After Death" and I read a section on Celtic views of the afterlife and about Druids. Since then I have kept a look out for any books pertaining to this particular branch of paganism, but I have been seldom rewarded.

Is druidry a common lifestyle/religion nowadays? I was wondering if anyone was familiar with it, and might could point me in the right direction to learn more. I by chance found a book called "Druid Power" at my local book store in the new age section, but its the first I have found and so far it has spoken of little besides the history of the celtic people.

I have never felt much called to be a "wiccan" or "witch," but I am curious to learn more about these ancient champions of nature. Any help would be appreciated. =)

I'd start with the Path Specific Forum here on this site for Druids, Celts and Celtic Christians. Also druidry.org for info on one branch of modern Druids (OBOD- Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids). I'm sure others here have more suggestions.

There are some great neo-druidic organizations that might be helpful-

Ár nDraíocht Féin (ADF) (http://www.adf.org/core/) has a really, really nice training program in place called the Dedicant Program.

Other orders I know of but am not personally familiar with are The Reformed Druids of North America (http://www.rdna.info/), The Order of Bards Ovates and Druids (http://www.druidry.org/) (OBOD), The Ancient Order of Druids in America (http://www.aoda.org/), and the British Order of Druids. (http://www.druidry.co.uk/)
