Lost Earrings

I got these beautiful yellow stone earrings for christmas and wore them once. I was wearing then in my house and my friend came over for a few too many drinks. When I woke up they weren't in my ears nor in the place where I put my jewelry at the end of the day. I've looked everywhere for them, but I have no idea where they went. Can anyone pick-up what happened to them?

Not psychic, but sometimes I find things that I can not find any where, in my purse. Did you check there yet? lol

Two ideas, based on experience:

1) Check pockets of what you were wearing...I've been known to put earrings in my jeans (even when 80%+ asleep).

2) Check your pillowcase...ditto.

When I was a kid I was the family "finder" (mostly 'cause I saw where things were and remembered later...sort of like playing an ongoing housewide game of "Memory") and the first rule of being a "finder" is "Never say 'It CAN'T be [insert unlikely place here]....'" Granted, it may in fact NOT be there...but I've found things EXACTLY where they "couldn't possibly" have been, several times.

I'd check behind the bed, under the bed, around the bed. Shake your sheets a bit.

Also, there's no chance that in the state you were in, you gave them to your friend as a gift, is there?

Have you asked your friend if he/she saw you take off the earrings, and where you put them? Heck, maybe you put them somewhere unsafe and he/she moved them elsewhere and forgot to tell you!

I asked my friend he can't remember me taking them off.

I checked and cleaned up my whole jewelry area, hung the futon out to air (so it's not in bed) cleaned the closet. Checked the garbage, the fridge and freezer all the drawers in the house, under the furniture, and every surface area, every jacket and purse I've used for the last 2 weeks and all the laundry. I've checked every conceivable place i would have stupidly plopped them down. My house is really clean now but I still haven't found them. That's why as was asking for anyone who could to take a peek in my house. I'm totally out of ideas. I'm starting to think fairies took them as punishment for my dirty apartment. It's like they just vanished.

My first random thought was they were stolen. :( I hope that is not the case.

Check the bathroom, especially the drain in the sink. It's possible they fell into the sink :)

That is a good idea. You may even want to check the S-trap(s) under the sink(s).

Have you checked your purse or your car? I know I'll get to a point where I just want my earrings off and I'll put them wherever is convient.

If they have been manipulated out of your sight by fey creatures (we get gremlins) then drive three brass nails or screws in the shape of a triangle somewhere on the property near your home. It undoes their power over a piece of proerty for a short time and allows lost objects to be found.
