I am a candle maniac,I have my candles lit whenever possible, and I'm not sure why,But when I have even just a small candle lit I feel really calm and even happy and I feel this need to be as near the candle as I can,However When I have to blow them out I get this empty feeling inside,Kinda like when you're a little kid and your friend comes over for a sleep over and then leaves half way through the night.Actually,The first couple times I felt this I was in tears over it,For some reason.

Its been like this since I first began using candles and I'm stumped on what this is,However I have managed to figure out that its not the candle itself, its more like its the presense/absense of the flame.Any insight would be great!

Thanks!:)

Well, perhaps its just a subtle or not so subtle reminder of what/who you are, its a peaceful thing... I'm the same way about cedar or amber incense. Its something I can go to and smell, and feel calm. Its that little outside influence we use for comfort and reminders. *just mho*

This makes alot of sense,And now that I think about it,I do tend to light them whenever I'm stressed(Which saddly,is alot of the time). Thanks for the wonderful suggestion.

From a more occult point of view, you might have an affinity toward the element of fire. It might be like a kindred element for you.

I've considered this,But as much as I'd like to,I cant say anything for sure.It would be easier if I could meditate on it,But like I've said before,I'm not so good at meditating.

The trick of meditation is to not try. Just relax, and let your mind go wherever it pleases. Sometimes taking a mental journey, quite literally, is helpful. Picture yourself walking along a path. Let the scenery form itself. Where you find yourself going will tell you more about yourself.

Sometimes guided audio meditations are really helpful. That's how I first learned how to meditate, when I was about 12 or 13. :)

Oh,I never thought of that,I will certianly try it out,I do a similar thing when I fall asleep,Except I tend to create a scene from whatever I'm thinking about and put myself in it.For example, one of my favourites to do is Star Wars the Clone War(Please dont ask,I absolutley love that show, actually just Star Wars in general),I'll pick my favourite scenes from the show and imagine myself in them in how it would change the story,What would I do,Why would I do it,that sort of thing.

I used to do the exact. same. thing. when I was a kid/teen. Used to be the only way I could fall asleep. (And it quite frequently involved Star Wars, esp. the books/Expanded Universe, soooo....)

I agree to both of these :)

Also, meditation sounds like it would greatly help you in life *hugs* Just keep swimming just keep swimming (in this case meditating) and you'll find your way!
