What looks to be (at dark anyway) a perfect little cottage witha pretty front porch. Snow covered yard and some christmas decorations still hanging. Lots of pretty tall trees and bushes along the side of the yard but not blocking the view from the front. I pull my car up infront of my house which is directly across the street from this house, and in the middle of the street is a White tailed doe, she runs when I stop my car and heads for the house across the street, I look over and there in the front yard are 4 other White Tailed does all staring at me. I sit in my car for a few minutes then decide to get out. I open my door and all of them stare at me. The youngest of them takes off running back across the street and into my neihbors yard, three of the others walk to the back of the yard they are grazing in, and the fifth doe, just looks at me, I get out of my car and she still doesn't make a move. I glance a little closer at her, and recognise her from the last time I saw the deer in my back yard, and as before, she stares at me and makes no move to leave or run, her tail doesn't even go up. Well, I smile and talk to her for a second, just reassuring her that I'm not going to harm her, then turn and walk into my house. WHen I get inside, I look out the big picture window and she is still looking at me, thru the window, as if she knows I'm standing there watching her.

I can't seem to get over the fact that she isn't the least bit scared of me, when the others take off at the mere sound I make.....

Sometimes I wish I had a digital camera or that my camera had film.

Okay everyone, I'm done rambling.

I love when nature shows that side to us, that it does understand us.

Oh that's great. I love it when nature just holds out her hand and touches you--even if it's just for a short time--to remind us that we are all connected in some way.

Thank you so much for sharing that. :)
