For those of you who don't know The Peabody is a luxury hotel that is know for it's Southern hospitality and it's.....ducks!

The DuckMaster is responsible for the care of those ducks. They live in the "penthouse" (roof). Everyday at 11 a.m. the DuckMaster escorts those duck down the elevator, across the red carpet, up the little duck steps and into the fountain. There the ducks spend the day having a grand ole time. And the DuckMaster answer question from tourist. The at 5 p.m. (I think) the ducks are escorted back to elevator and up for a quite evening of relaxation.

I think it's a pretty cool job! :cool: The previous DuckMaster has retired. If I lived in Memphis I'd send in my resume.;)

I tried to find a site with pictures of the ducks....but my patience wore thin.

Hehehehe I grew up in Memphis, but I didn't go see the ducks until after I had moved away...it's really hilarious, they pose for photos and everything, they are so used to it.

What an interesting job that would be!! I'm gonna send it to my mom, who still lives there!
