A dream I had last night

Hello, can anyone help shed light on a dream I had last night?

In the dream, I was there with a woman who I knew to be a high priestess and another woman. We had to undress then dress in what would basically be your stereotypical toga. She had us sit on these high pedestals and wait. A God appeared, I'm not sure who, but he had a golden light about him. He was muscular and blonde. We said some sort of chant that I can't remember the words. We gave offerings of gold nuggets into a goblet of water from our mouths, and then we were expected to offer ourselves to him. I stood to do so willingly, and then I think I woke up because I don't remember anything after.

Any insights? Who might this God be? I think he was Greek, but I don't know for sure.

I was wondering, since golden makes me think of the sun, of course. And I remember there was music playing as well. That was one of my first thoughts when I woke up, that it could be Apollo.

Kind of threw me off at first since in the past, I have experienced Hecate, and they don't seem to me to be closely related. but apparently they're cousins according to Hesoid's Theogony? Can someone confirm this? [Edit: NVM, I used google-fu and found out this is correct. Neat.]

The HPS was youngish and had very dark hair, light skin, and dark eyes, but I don't imagine it would be Artemis, what with the offering ourselves up and all, so I suppose that could have been Hecate, in that sense. (I've never seen Hecate in her Crone form, myself)

Gold is related to the sun as well as the deep earth's core, where it's made from. This suggests to be about the heart, deeper self or spirit and your astral. You have a need for new knowledge.

However though, added to what else happened in your dream, I conclude that you need emotional healing. I could be wrong here but I feel that you are hurting still about something. Gold represents medicine too.

I think the woman is as important as the man, the pair of them working together for your spiritual enlightenment... perhaps they are your "masculine" and "feminine" energies. Does the 'tone' or anything in the dream remind you of your spiritual path, or what you would like it to be?

It did have a very spiritual tone. When I saw the High Priestess she didn't inform me that she was one or even who she was, I just knew that she was, and I wanted to follow her anywhere.

I haven't been as spiritual lately and I've been starting to work in it again, so this could be a guide for me to help me get started in the right direction.

I don't think Hecate is relevant to this dream, but it seems to me you're on the right track with Apollo.

Hesiod did identify Hecate as a cousin of Apollo, and daughter of Perses and Asteria. I disagree. Stronger evidence, and "UPG", points to her as a daughter of Erebus and Nyx.
