Fairies I have seen plenty of, but I'm convinced that my friend Sara is an elf! And as long as she doesn't walk across the room, she won't kill me for saying so!:nyah: :p

I've seen a faerie. Well I'm pretty sure that's what they were. It didn't say I'm from the Fae or anything. Maybe it was an elf. How do you know if it's a faerie or not? *confuzzled*

I think I have, yes. If I am not mistaken, I saw an Elf just a few weeks ago...very interesting creatures. I've seen Faeries a ton of times. We also have a few Gnomes in the back yard. Is wonderful :)

You mean there's another one I've got to see now!?!? :D
For those of you who have seen faeries and elves, when did you see them? What happened? How long was the experience?
Sorry to bug you, but I'm curious! :)

I see, but what about the faries? Are they humanoid-linked too? Or are they actual creatures that can be "found" (if they ever wanted to be found, that is) in the wild?

Well..you'd expect an elf to be small right? Not this one. It looked to be about....3 1/2 feet tall. To tell ya the truth it would have been hard to distinguish between this and a small boy ghost. Only difference was his clothing. I highly doubt children from any recent era's wore clothes like that. Very earthy looking..green and brown colors but also some brighter ones.
The faerie experiences i've had have all been inside a circle during a ritual. I've seen a few in meditiation and on the astral though. I've only seen the a-typical flying colored lights. We usually get tons of them during our rituals. Once you get use to them, they aren't distracting.

I am assuming that the faeries I have been seeing is when I go to the fridge and something moves out of the corner of my eye...or when I set my keys down someplace and they aren't where I left them...elves and hobbits, I ahve not seen...lol But am I right? Or just crazy lol?

Erm, I thought hobbits were fictional characters created by Tolkien for his Middle Earth books. But I could be mistaken. Don't flame me please, just set me straight!

Yep, hobbits were created by Tolkien.
Can't say as I've ever seen elves.
I have, however, seen the fae. When I was a child, I spent a lot of time messing about in the back yard, and I built houses for the little flower fae back there. Unfortunately, I don't remember what exactly they looked like (it was a loooooong time ago). In the house I moved into just over a year ago, the fae are very active. They had been "trapped" in the basement by the very Christian elderly lady who owned the house before us, and are just soooo happy to be able to run around the rest of the house now! I see my cats playing with them frequently, and one time I saw one going up the stairs just in front of me. It looked like one of those summer "heat shimmers" where you know something is there, but the air ripples and you can't quite actually see it. It was about a foot tall, and was jumping up the stairs. Our fae frequenly swipe things, but they also leave pennies for us in the oddest places!
Outside, I have seen groups of them dancing over a lake at midsummer. It looked like specks of fire swirling in the air, and they were most visible when looking at them out of the corner of the eyes.

Elves and Faeries are things I do see quite a bit of. I've been told (and have experienced for myself) that my closet is something of a Gate into Faery. I've since kept guard over that Gate to be sure nothing comes through.
I believe myself to be Otherkin.. in that my first life I was Fae and my soul has always been the same as then. Someday I'll go back there. Anyway, I have seen elves and various types of Fae.. even those that aren't native to the country I'm in. The Lunantisidhe are only found in Black Thorn trees. When I had a branch sent to me from England.. a Lunantisidhe came with it. The Lunantisidhe don't like humans.. but this one instantly became attached to me, and me to it.
Elves, when I see them, are tall as humans (some of them) as it all depends on the type, age, and whatnot of the elf. That, and Fae usually appear (in my experiences) the way you wish them to.. in the form you'd be most comfortable with.
I've seen some old friends and family while using my Black Mirror in ritual.. and it always makes me feel like I'm home when I go into my closet. :)

:elf: <--- Why doesn't he look like Orlando Bloom?! :wah:
I've never even seen the fae, let alone elves. Is there anything one can do to become more receptive?

I've seen the faeries....I used to see faery lights + rainbows once a week when pregnant with my daughter....she is definately one of them.
At my old house way out in the woods I had a ball of white light zoom right towards me while I was walking in the woods around midnight.
And I have also seen them dancing around during sweat lodge.
I think that you need to be working with the natural realm to see them...the first instance I was pregnant, and very in tune with angels + faeries. The instance of the white light I had been studying flower essences, and just that day had planted some angelica plants in the garden. And during sweat lodges ppl are in a trance state.
Just my .02 worth!

I have many short, slender, high-energy, good eyesighted, pointy-eared freinds. does that count? Personally I think elves, dwarves, etc probly bred with humans a long ways back and so slowly dissapeared, atleast in the pure straind, and thats why you find people who look like them.

I myself have never seen an actual elf, at least not that I'm aware of. Some people on a scifi forum once told me I resemble Arwen. Does that count? :rotfl: I have seen the floating lights before. Three to be exact. There's a thread on here somewhere on them. I'll have to find it. I seriously doubt they were the "lightning balls" everyone says they were.

:T My friends say the same thing about me, especially since I dyed my hair. :D I take it as a huge compliment - and none of them know how gorgeous I think she is ;)
They all reckon I should have been an elf, even though none of them are in the slightest 'witchy' - or even in tune with nature. I wish I was :)

lol. Who here thinks we should make a forum, where we post a pic or two of ourselves and ask others which LOTR character we look the most like. No, not like member pics. No pets would be allowed. Who's in?!
*note* despite others saying I look (most) like Arwen, there's no way I could pass for a Tolkien elf. I'm only 5'5_1/2" I'd be like half or quarter elf  Or half-elf with a bit of dwarf. My mom's first name is Glenda (just sounds dwarven), and her maiden name is very um, dwarven. (as in occupational). :rotfl:

Awesome idea!!! *runs for digital cam* Who wants to start the thread? I'm only 5'2, so it's either a dwarf or a very tall hobbit. People saw I act like a hobbit. I love cracking jokes and playing pranks. I also have a very Pippin-ish way of stating the obvious. Enough rambleing! Hope to see the thread soon! :D

not to dissagree with you but most mythologies have elves being slightly shorter than most humans, and dwarves being about 4'6" tall, myself Im about 6' but Ive been told IF I was shorter Id be a dwarf.
Like the idea... how bout a thread though instead of a forum? not sure if Mol wuold go for it otherwise.

I remember one time I was looking out my window and I thought I saw a blue light flash by. At the time I was younger and was in the "Ferngully" Craze so that played interesting things with my imagination. Maybe it was just some light (It was in the middle of the night) Or.. maybe It was a faerie, who knows ^ ^ Oh by the way. Hi all! heh
