I'm trying to figure out how to make some Agrippa-style Mars incense, which can be made from any fragrant wood suitable for incense. So I'm trying to figure out what kind of wood there is to use. So far I know of:

Sandalwood
Palo Santo
Rosewood
Cedar
Juniper
Mesquite
Pine or Piņon wood
Hickory
Applewood
Aloeswood

Are there any other I missed?

Cinnamon and cascarilla also crossed my mind but I think those are barks, which are Mercury according to Agrippa.

It is darn near impossible to stop hickory or mesquite from producing IMO way too much smoke. Or maybe it just makes me hungry to smell it, it's a toss up.

I've only ever used Sandalwood, Cedar, Juniper and Pine.

Oak and Olivewood are some others I came upon.

I actually stumbled on Amazon onto this BBQ wood mix (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007ZGUU2/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=talstar-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0007ZGUU2) that sounded perfect for a Mars wood incense. (2 lbs for $9!)
