A friend of mine referred to me a site that has many different incantations for summoning Deities who help with various things.

I've only used a few but have found them quite effective. This one for removing psychic cords has been quite helpful to me for releasing some family issues that I've had for a while now.

There are other good ones on the site also. I just thought I'd like to share these and hope that some of you find them useful too.

What gods are you summoning? and what does the chant mean/translate to? It is a little vague.

Truthfully I have to throw the BS flag on this one. let me explain why.

1. An incantation typically does not call upon a god / goddess. It is formed through ones own power and strength and focus of will. In a more ceremonial slant it might call upon a servitor or egogret (sp) type force or one of the demonic arcana.

2. In support of position 1 the means and mannerisms of this usage is also based upon the sense of personal will power and belief it shall work. Thus if the person believes it shall then it shall work. That is one of the critical facets of the notion of cutting any type of cords, regardless of them being psychic or any other type.

3. One does not blindly call upon any god / goddess for some random purpose. Most practioners I am aware of and have interacted with in my 50 years of life call upon those they have sworn alligence or homage to only. They would not even consider calling out blindly to one that they only heard of in passing.

4. Words have power and purpose of format. This has a sing songy new age feel to it. Yet the words used hold no purpose nor influence beyond what the author has implied. An implication that is effective only to his/her position and ones belief in what the author has written.

This falsely purtends to be ceremonial yet ceremonial would be true words and phrases not fragmented.

Agree with all of the above, and I'd like to add the site is an SEO link farm, designed to draw in keyword searches and make money off of the ads, so I'd be very wary of any information on the site.

I find when dealing with deities, a generic, one-size-fits-all phrase is probably not such a smart idea. There's more than a few that would happily bitch-slap a person for calling on them without first building a relationship or having been called as a priest/ess of that deity.
