A friend of mine bought this one for me a few years ago:

"Ankh If You Love Isis"

I'd also looooooove to find one that says:

"W.W.K.D: What Would Kali Do?"

I know they're out there, I just need to find someone selling them. :)

I live in the land of the Jesus fish, but every once in a while, I see the Darwin fish, for those of you who have never seen it, it is a Jesus fish with legs. I saw one the other day that made me want to run the guy off the road. It said "Who lit the fuse on your tampon?" Boooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

You know...as a woman, I thought that was DAMN FUNNY

Man if you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at...I do feel that ways sometimes!

and quite frankly, it is a bad/good sad/funny as "Grow your own dope, plant a man" which I also find wickedly funny! Now I know women who would find that funny, but would get offended with the tampon one! WHY! Its Hypocritical...

My personal fav "Oh your a feminist, how cute!"

I am a feminist! A staunch feminist and I LOVE that one! hehehehe

Lighten up people!

Well, maybe in a different context I would have found it more amusing, but the guy had a kid pissing on PETA on the back window of his pick-up, a confederate flag, a big old shot gun rack and something about running over animals. The whole package pissed me off, the tampon was the icing on the cake.

It is a symbol of racism, oppression, and slavery to Black
people, and they should not be displayed.
It is also a reminder of shame and disgrace to those who
fight for the civil rights of ALL people.

Really? I used to live in the states, and Black people do find
the confederate flag offensive, in fact, they have tried to
have the CSA flags removed from state flags, of the few that
are left.
If you say that it is not, then on that basis, why not fly the
nazi banner? It shouldn't be offensive to Jews and Gypsys,
and others that were murdered by the nazis.

In the united states it is against the law the display (over state and federal buildings) a flag from another soverign nation. As a symbol, the confederate flag is a symbol of succession and therefore represents another soverign, therefore it should not be displayed.

it is also helpful to note that many state capitals (NC comes to mind) didn't start displaying the flag until the forced intergration of schools and the abolishment of Jim Crow laws. It has been traditionally used to symbolize resistance to those laws.

It might mean something different now, but that is what it has historically been used for.

cheers

I, personally, believe that all Southerners, especially black southerners should embrace the Confederate Flag. Mostly because it would take away the racial meaning and render it a symbol of Southern unity. Unfortunately, Mairwen, I have seen many use it as a symbol of white supremacy in the south. I have the distinct feeling that that was the case in this instance.

Many believe as you do. And you are right to feel that way. Unfortunately Southern Pride is not the only meaning behind the flag. And I also must agree with Xois. It symbolizes a dark period in our history. I would like to think that we have all gotten past Confederates and Yankees, and moved on to becoming Americans.

As a black woman, I have always found the confederate flag offensive. I in no way see it as merely a sign of "southern pride" (wha on earth does thateven mean, anyway? you're either American or you'r enot...) but rather as a symbol odf the very things Mystique points out.

Look at that, I actually agree with Mystique for once. 8O

Amberlaine, I completely agree with you on this one, but....

Have you ever heard of the conservative radio talk show host, Ken Hamblin(sp?), goes by the Black Avenger. I don't normally ever agree with the guy, but he said something that made a lot of sense. He said that if black people, like him, proudly displayed the confederate flag, they would take it back from the White Supreamists. I agree. What meaning would it have at a KKK meeting if every black person in the US flew it? It would render the thing totally meaningless. Just somethig to think about.
