I think this would be a valuable class. I need to know what kind of things you all would like to learn about in this class so we can build a curriculum. Let me know this and we will start a fledgling class.
What I mean is...Basics of what? Wicca? Craft? Magick?

:confused: I'm going to let someone else get in here that knows more than me..but we already have a magic class,I just don't know what wicca really is or craft. Just know I want to learn to enable me to see where I fit it? Maybe info on what each are basically about?

Hi,
Being a Newbie of the first order, I would love a place that I could ask even the most mundane questions. How do I start down this path? What are my options? I have many unanserwed ?'s. So if someone does start a newbie forum I'll be there.

The New Pagan forum is for just that! You can ask even the most mundane..as you said.
"How do I cast a circle?"
"Who is the God and Goddess?"
"What is Witchcraft?"
"What is Wicca?"
All of these kinds of questions...any and all are welcome. So go in there and ask. This is most likely where the Newbie class will be as well.
And welcome to the Community!

i think newbie lessons would be very good. i'm not exactly a newbie but i would take part, definitely!!
how about starting off wih simple stuff like how you can live a pagan life ever day......ok...that isn't really basic. what i mean is....start off with simple things like gem stones, then teach people how to meditate in an effective way (i have lots of ways of medidtating if you would like me) then you could go onto auras and how you learn to sense people's aura and how you can find out what colour your own and other people's are and stuff like that. you could encorporate things from other classes but on a simpler basis. hows that?

Hey,
I don't know what newbie path you want to teach but I have some lessons which have got rave reviews by the students I have had. It could be modified. Yes...no?

Why dont you email me a few things involved in the class...also, what specific Path does it teach. For a newbie class it should be quite general and very easy to fit into any Path/Tradition. Let me know.

As a Priestess I know one thing I would love the "newbies" to be taught:
"What is the diffrence between Wicca and Paganism?"

Here is how it was explained to me by my hubby (arrogant and stubborn as he may be), he is wise :D ~ love ya hun!
Wiccan = Apples
Druids = Oranges
Discordians = Bananas
Asatru = Grapes
Voodoo = Tangerines
etc, etc, etc.
PAGANISM = Fruitbowl
You figure it out. :D
I know, it was cheesy and not one of his shining moments; but hey! It worked for me.

When he finds out I told all of you that little story he is going to sacrifice me, bloodily :) ~ or is it :(
He is a smart one and tries to convey that, but I find his simple teachings to be the most rewarding :D shhh, don't tell him I said that!

He He! I don't think he'll be that harsh on you! He should be proud that he is a smarty and that you feel confident enough in his smartness to share it with us.

About 4 years ago there was an evening class at our local college titled "Learning to Trust Your Intuition," an acceptable title that offended no one. Fabulous class! It evolved into a class on divination. A few people dropped out when they discovered what it was about - but not many. The class was full (there were about 35 students the first night) and some people were turned away.

I would love to contribute all that I can to this. I have never formally taught anyone. But I can surely try. :colorful:

What about simple magick class. Learn how to write your own spells. Have those basic spells everyone wants to know. Basic Wicca is good too.
Edit: :lol: I just noticed how old this thread is. hehe well maybe it's time for another class.
