Hi guys. Well I had this dream last night and it was really quite disturbing so I thought I'd see what you all thought. In the dream I was tending a beautiful flower garden. It was really beautiful with lots of trees and plants in full bloom and a small stream running through...really beautiful. But as I was digging the garden, I kept discovering severed body parts in the soil. Mostly they were feet (I have no idea!) but in the dream, it was like I wasn't even surprised or upset at finding these body parts. I was just sort of like "Oh, I've found another one." And kept tossing them on to a pile to get them out of my soil!
What on earth does this dream mean? It seems like it could be hinting at finding things below the surface...you know, things seem ok on top (like the beautiful garden) and then you find something unpleasant underneath. But I can't think what that would refer to.
Or maybe my mind is just a very strange place.
Please offer any insight you have. The dream is so strange it's stuck in my mind all day so far.

I'd actually like an answer to this.
When I was little, we had a pond that we dug ourselves, and it was huge and fully stocked with freshwater fish native to our part of Ohio.
Anyway, I used to walk around the pond when I was little and throw fish pellets that we had bought for them just to see them come up and eat. When I was 10 or 11, I had a dream I was doing this, yet there was severed body parts floating all over inside the pond while I was feeding the fish. The dream has always stuck with me.
So if anyone knows, that'd be awesome, and yes, it is quite disturbing. Like I said, I am 33 and I still remember that dream from so long ago.

This dream brings to mind a fantasy book I read once. There was a garden where the plants were being fertilized by dead bodies, killed by murderess garden owner. The main character was a 'plant-mage' so to say. and, the trees were 'happy' but 'off'. it was beautiful and unsettling, like your dream.
buuuut it might not help you with interpretation.
The body parts did not bother you in your dream. Perhaps they are your ancestors or predecessors? the earth all around us is a 'burial' to thousands of years of ideas and people come before us. Perhaps they are ancient soure materials for what you are growing and tending to now.
if you decide that the limbs are not nice there (how grotesque were they?) then perhaps your 'perfect world' or your ideals are being... disturbed? are you discovering that things are not what they seem? or what you thought you had knowledge or control of is actually not?

Personally I'd assume it has to do with secrets or things hidden that are beginning to surface. The lack of reaction in the dream can hint at that either you won't care that much, or that the best way to deal with them can be stoicness.
Something buried below a flowering surface usually deals with underlying problems. While things may look ideal on top, if you dig deeper there are issues.
Not very odd at all, most of life is that way. Maybe you can sense that there is something substantial hidden underneath the surface of one area of your life, but it's substantial in a way that may not be surprising to you?
