cleansing a cursed ship

I have a bit of a tricky problem. My Parents are both fishermen and at the end of the season we experienced a tragedy, two men went missing and were found drowned. My parents found one of the bodies and brought him aboard the boat. (There is a strong superstition within my culture against bringing the dead on board a vessel) Tragedy is bound to follow her. I had hoped they would be buying a new vessel, however they have decided to spend at least one more season aboard this boat.

More to the point I am looking for suggestions as to how to cleanse the boat, preferably something that I could do inconspicuously (its a very small town, and many people have very small minds, as well my father does not approve of what he calls my "witchy business" ) I have several months before they will take her out again, and any help whould be greatly appreciated

There are several threads here re: cleansing rooms, homes, vehicles, auras, etc... should be something in one or more that would work, or could be adapted...
