Today I visited The Druid Circle about 15 miles away from my home. It is called the Druid Circle though the circle actualy perdates the druids in Wales by around 1,000 years it is Bronze age but I'm possative that the power of the circle must have drawn druids to use it for their own means once they got to Wales. It was a truly magical day dispite the horrible weather and I have got supper powered crystals and cards thanks to it.
If the druids never used it then I wonder how it got it's name.

If you think about it, given the attraction of stonehenge it's little wonder everything in the that is circular isn't attributed to the druids.
Remember, everyone KNEW the druids built stonehenge.....until carbon dating and archeology pushed the date back a few millinia.
I don't doubt the power in that place so use it! That is why it is there.
Peace,
Twig

But twig, didn't the druids NOT make the stone circles but they DID acknowledge the energies of them?? I have read that in so many places, that infact the megalithic people made these, and not much was known about them...

According to carbon dating, Stonehenge was around (or at least, the rocks were exposed if nothing else) long before the druids were known to be in the area. However, considering what we know of druids, I wouldn't be surprised if they acknowledged it, or knew some stuff about it. Maybe not much, but some.

yeah that's what i thought and read about, the stone circles were recognised much earlier and before the druids, but they recognized and worshiped their power

Greetings,
A few weeks ago, our Dutch newspapers reported some English archeologists found out that a person who might have been a construction oversight of Stonehenge either lived in Germany for a while or travelled though it.
Looking up a story link...
Here we go:

This person was found about a year earlier:

So, instead of "Stonehenge", the circle might have to be called "Steinhenge".

While Stonehenge wasn't built by Druids, there are still thousands of stone circles in England and continental Europe that were! Just because they didn't build a FEW doesn't mean they didn't build a bunch.

Does one HAVE to know HOW to build a battery to operate a flashlight?
Myrddyn.
