Great for the handyman's daughter. I was hoping though they would show a picture of the formal wear.

I knew a girl who made a grad dress that was half Trident gum wrappers. Not the package, but the actual wrapping of the gum pieces. Was tres nifty. :)

Friend of mine made pants, a cape, a mask and a *wallet* of duct tape for Halloween one year, went as Duct Tape Man.

:rotfl: No kidding here....I was thinking of doing that this morning while I was getting ready for school! :crylaugh: A dress from duct tape.....*lesigh*

What will they come up with next? (I WILL make a bookbag from duct tape....one of these days when I get ambitious enough) :D

We actually had some girls at my school do that last year. :D It was really cool. I'd scan the picture but it's already been scanned twice (to get into the yearbook) and probably wouldn't look like anything but a blur... well that and I'm lazy. I might do it later.

Hehehe what a cool idea!! Most of the girls when I was in high school (including myself) would never do anything like that...back then everyone's so busy trying to fit in...and wearing duct tape to prom would definitely be a no-no... :-P

Kudos to them for their individuality!

but then I read the article again and I see they back the tape with more tape rather than sticking it directly to their skin.....

My mom knows a woman who wore *nothing* but paint to a Elton John concert once in NY. She road the subway too. :D She's an interesting person. 8O

Well I'm beyond prom age, and not quite liquid latex size either! It was just a fun thought! :-)

I know, the worst thing about this duct-tape dress thing is that the ones in the picture look lovely! I'm not sure it would look quite so good in real life.
