well, let's hope this one sounds more accurate! let me know!
past life reading phoenix
9 of Swords: you then~
wow, in this life you were sooo overly responsible. you were the king of a country or realm, or i don't know if they called you a king, but a leader of the people and ruler. for the vast majority of time, you ruled well; you were just, wise, prosperous, and the kingdom did really well under your rule. the land was very fruitful and lush, your trade was good, the people were content, and rules and laws were followed by most people. very few dissenters.
something happened to make all of this go wrong. you were either invaded and the whole village destroyed, or somehow sold out and given over to another community as slaves. i can't tell for sure, and don't know yet where this is. but your advisors told you to flee the area. they knew that you had information the raiders would want, and they wanted you to leave to protect the future of the people. it really was the best thing, but it seemed cowardice to you, and you didn't want to do it. i think you were able to hide out at a religious temple or monastary type place, and you spent the rest of your life basically in hiding. this was really hard for you, and you felt you had let your people down.
8 of Swords: your life overview~
despite the fact that you had done so well with your leadership, all that stayed in your mind was that you had fled, and you felt you were a failure. you could not see the good in what you had done, and constantly berated yourself. you became ill from the constant negative thoughts...either ulcers, or cancer, but it was directly related to your self hatred. i do think there was someone who became your mentor at this hiding place, and they continually tried to help you forgive yourself and see the good in life around you. there were many things available to you to help you heal. i do feel that after a long period of self anger and hatred, you finally were able to accept where you were, and begin to see the purpose in where you were. now of course, fleeing saved your life. but it also saved your soul, it seems. after deciding you were a "failure", you had to learn to live all over again. you had to become aware of the small things in life that brought pleasure, and the smallest things about yourself and your body that made you "ok".
really, the whole hiding out thing gave you a sort of "zen" outlook, and opened your eyes to spirituality, where if you had stayed the ruler, you would have been concerned with land, property, all material things, and your spirit wouldn't have grown.
King of Coins: your surroundings~
the land when youwere a king was great; good fruit and grains, lots of animals (you weren't a vegetarian), fish, and the weather was pleasant. the village was full of good craftsmen...i don't think you all were painters or anything, but decorative dishes, utensils, weapons, armor, clothing...and the houses you lived in were beautiful. but i still can't get a feel for when or where this is.
when you got to the monestary it was different...but the same. the food was boring, not so many spices, but after a while you learned to appreciate the true flavors of food. you learned to appreciate the beauty of the tree more than the utensil made from it. as well as nature and animals more than what they could offer you. again, very zen attitudes came from your life at this religious safe haven.
The Sun: relationships~
this card is to do with your relationships at the religious home. it basically says the same thing; that your life became full and beautiful because you let nature become a part of it. you became a part of life, where in the king life you were the controller of life around you, and eveyone was little compared to you. now everything was equal to you.
5 of Swords: your death~
well, you just died of old age, nothing too traumatic! essentially, i think this card is comparing the king life with the monkish life, and if you had not retreated, you would have died a painful death. this monk life gave you the chance to grow spiritually and make a lot of steps in your karmic growth. by the time you died, you had learned many things that enabled you to continue your journey in your following lives. not much info in this card.
Death: is this life affecting you now?
i'm using the Osho Zen deck...here again is your phoenix bird, as in the other reading! so wow!! that amazes me!
the phoenix is coming up out of a person sitting in meditative posture, with 6 arms...i think a symbol of indian gods...and is rising out of this person's head. this tells me that the past life has brought over elements or ideas that are taking place in your life now. so perhaps some of the core beliefs you have about the world have stemmed from the learning you achieved in that life. actually there are 7 arms, 4 on the left, 3 on the right. this may mean you tend to be more receptive and intuitive than you are logical, but just barely. you seem pretty balanced.
this also seems to indicate to me that there is a goddess offering you something, in this card a flower. but i feel there is a goddess energy pulling you toward her, calling to you to perhaps become devoted, or at the least, she has information or help for you. does this make any sense?
Empress: fears you have carried over from that life~
you may have had fears of your future (haven't we all??) i think you may have brought over a tendency to worry too much about what could happen, and this comes from the king life...what will happen to all my people? but eventually you were able to live in the now. so i think that is the thing happening to you that came up in the previous card about things taking place now. you are now at a place where you can learn to allow things to happen as they are meant to, and you take your part in them. you don't have to orchestrate it all, or be in charge, or dictate it's direction. you go along with the ride and play your part, and that is enough. you don't have to be the one in charge.
goddess again here, but i'm feeling this is about a book...that you are supposed to read a goddess related book or magazine...do you know what i'm talking about? geesh! i hope this reading is coming out ok for you, and i'm not getting someone else!!!
2 of Wands: your challenge or goal~
i think a challenge for you is leaving behind things. whether it is an old friend, a place you've lived, or an experience, you may feel it is hard for you to leave. again, i think in part that is because of this responsibility you have carried. you really aren't responsible for everyone's lives, you just THINK you are because you used to be when you were a king. but even then, you can only do so much. so the goal becomes: learn how to fly freely (another bird here in this card) learn to allow yourself to find your own path and soar! and don't get caught up in everyone else's stuff...you are in charge of you, and that's it. when you are doing your own thing, and feeling less responsible for others, that's when you will be able to help them most.
3 of Wands: talents you carried over~
actually feels less like a talent, more like advice. it seems you should spend time enjoying little things. i know life is busy and crazy, but you would do well to take lots of little breaks to go for a walk outside, or water the plants at work, or make a batch of cookies when you have too much going on. you need to set aside little breaks for yourself, and spend this time loving yourself, and being in tune with yourself, your body, and the world. when you drive home from anywhere, take the time to enjoy the drive and notice things around you. this is a very sensuous card, and calls you to explore your senses in depth. there may be talents connected to your sense that you didn't know you had: i/e....aromatherapy may be right up your alley, and you find this because you love the smell of eucalyptus. something like that.
9 of Wands: summary~
as in the king life, and the past card, this card encourages you to not spend your whole life chasing down "goals". living every day to its fullest is the biggest success. don't put too much on your plate at once, or you may find yourself burning out too easily. learn to share the load with others, or ask for help when you need it.
and take care of yourself. are you in school? i see paper here, and wonder if that has to do with a school workload. again, give yourself lots of breaks...if you don't, i fear your soul will force them upon you somehow. so do it now, when it is easy! and the good habits you learn now will help you into your future, helping you accomplish what you need to, while still finding joy in life around you.
well, that's about all. hope it makes sense this time! but if not, please let me know and i will do another throw!
blessings!
