I don't know what they mean either...is that good or bad? I'm on my campus's superfast connection, so I'm not a good judge of speed here. I know that last night it was terrible, but today it's zipping along just fine.

I haven't had a single problem with speed here since I joined...which is very rare, as I am on a dialup connection which has a habit of slowing down...and yet this site always works just dandy. Great work!

I'm just curious . . . how many seconds do you consider too many? (That sounds sarcastic to me and I don't mean it to be at all. I was just wondering.)

For me... anything above 0,5 to 1 second (depending on how the site is built and where it's located) is a tad bit too much... Life of a broadbander...
If I was the one you asked, that is ;)

That would be fine...except that this page is be generated on the fly pulling tons of info, pictures, and attachments from a database. So, we can give it a bit more than .5 seconds even though that is usually what I get. I would say anything over 3 to 5 seconds for a thread page to generate is a bit much, but then again....it also depends on whats on the page!

Uhm "over 30 to 5 seconds"... does that mean, 5-30 seconds page load is too long? Or over 5 and up to 30.. or? Sorry, I'm just not making sense of that sentence.
At 26kbps most pages on any given site load in at about 3-5 seconds, and if I turn pictures off I should be able to get less then 0.5s, so it should be faster for most everyone else here.
