I've always wondered about conciousness.
Is it a physical thing? If so, how many molecules does it take for an embryo to develop conciousness? How many days past conception will conciousness kick in? Is it an intrinsic part of the dna or is it something that can be taught?
Is it a spiritual thing? If so, do we inherit it from someone / something else? Where did that / they get it from?
I have my beliefs, but those aren't founded, they're dogmatic. I'd like to know in a scientific way.

I would like to know if there really is an ancient hall of records buried somewhere in front of the sphinx in eygpt. Ancient myth says that there are old old records dating back to how the eygptians may have resulted from Atlantis!!!! But the sand just gets deeper every year and to find something 6,000 years or older in that sand is hard. Hmmmm, now that spawns another question....what about atlantis? Uh oh, that's 2 questions isn't it. I guess great mystery questions are like potato chips to me....you can't stop with just one!!!!!!

the universe, and what happens when u reach the end is there an end? they say the universe is expanding at a huge rate what happens when there is no more room to expand or get's to big? will it contract and it all will begin again? a universal reincarnation? yah that's what i'd want to understand. it's amazing if u think about it. blows my mind.

I'd want to know what happens to avatars after they pass from their "heightened" life. Do they really reincarnate AGAIN? Do they go to some kind of heaven and stay there? What happens to them?

What is my cat really thinking? :D
Second, I'd like to know is there really an afterlife and if so, what is it like? And I'd like to find out without actually dying myself, that would be nice... I've got some opinions, I know other people also have opinions and ideas, but that's not the same thing to me as honest-to-goodness knowledge.
I'd also like to see the age of the dinosaurs, to find out if any of the movies got it right. And it would just be cool.

I would like to know all about stonehenge. Ever since I was little, I have felt serene when I looked at a pic or a show about the stones. They must be a power center............

1. How many licks to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?
2. Why do I get the sensation there is always something more?
I'm always fascinated and excited by what I learn and yet still find myself leaning eagerly forward and saying..."AND...?"Like I still haven't learned enough. This is not in just one field...but everything.

What the secret ingredient is that makes Peeps a food and a spackling compound. :p
But seriously, if I could know one truth, I would want to know if there were really other universes (multiverses, even) or alternate realities.

I have a mad desire to visit the ancient library of Alexandria-- in an age when the world was a very big place, and travel was uncommon, scholars were sent to study there-- the greatest scholars of ancient times. WHAT did they study? WHAT secrets were lost when it burned? Did it contain the answers to mysteries that would have prevented the Dark Ages had they not been lost?
You can tell I've been thinking about this one for awhile!

Id like to know.... Hmm.... either the secrets to time or the great mystery of lost things...... where are they? what are they? how can I find them?
As for what was lost in the fires of alexandra, some magazines, some old newspapers, a few textbooks, my journals, and the first copy of edipous rex.
seriously though it would be cool to find out.
I considered the soul... but some things are better left unknown.

Really interesting question, I don't really know if I could choose just one, as I read everyones posts, I began to see many mysteries I would like to know about.......
However, having great mysteries afford us the opportunities for thought and discussion, if we knew it all, life would be such a bore:D
