We're getting Monopoly money??? **Grins in excitement** I've been living under a rock for the past few months. I had no idea the American $20 bill was going to get to be a buck of a different color.

Whee! I'm excited! I've always hoped that the US would get out of their "boring money" rut and join the rest of the world! *bounces*

And hey! I LIKE those state quarters! My favourite is the Connecticut tree one. *grins at her from-Connecticut roommate* :D

we did have colored money in the past. It was about 20 years
or so ago that we had a yellow, I think 20 dollar bill, currency.
It was to commemorate Hawaii becoming a state, like an anniversary
I think.

;) too funny! Couldn't help myself!
We always played Monopoly as a family! Thanks for the memories!

In fact it was my very first game, a birthday present. My Mother spelled it out for my Father to pick up and I walked out of the room spelling it in my head, by the time I got into the next room I had figured it out! Skipping out side singing to myself, "I'm gonna get a Monopoly Game" over and over.... :)

I think I may have been 7 turning 8...

**huge grin** Me too. Monopoly is one of the few games I was ever good at. My roommate Nallia (who visits here, but infrequently) actually has the Star Wars Monopoly game. It's the coolest board game I've ever seen.

Wow, think of all the new 'money slang' we'll have to come up with. 'Greenback' will be so 'yesterday'. :p

A pink slip?
A lemondrop?
A blue billy?
A violet? (and if you had a bunch, they'd be a bouquet?)
