If you mean that you are new to your path, my advice is click the stuck threads at the top of this forum.

If that's not it, please elaborate.

Unless you meant that you're looking for a teacher....?

Not offering. (I'm not Wiccan, so I'm not Wiccan teacher material.) Just speculating on what you meant. :)

Oh, dashitall. I voted and found out that, had I voted "No~ go help yourself," I could have made a 2-2 tie.. instead it's 3-1 now.

I'm sure that if you have a dig around on the net, you could find a translation for those quotes. I know that quite a few version of his elvish dictionary are floating around... just don't ask me where

The exact quote translates to:

The World is changed, I feel it in the weather, I feel it in the earth, I smell it in the air.

This page (http://www.geocities.com/kyela_frodo/movie_elvish.html) has that quote and many others. :)

I'll say again what I said in your other post on the Arts and Crafts forum.

Teachers come and go when they are naturally supposed to over the course of one's life, not when you beg/plead/demand them to. There are so many resources available on the topic of Wicca, there's no reason why you can't teach yourself, until such time as a teacher enters your life. Not only does this allow you to gain insight into yourself, but it shows to any potential teachers in your life that you're not being idle, waiting for a religion to be spoon fed to you.

One comment - the original poster here never mentioned a teacher nor "begged or pleaded" for one.

And even if they had, there are over 4,000 teachers here at MW. We all have something valuable to share and teach, and anyone is welcome to ask questions here.

I hope the original poster of this thread will see that MW is about helping people and learning and growing together, so they feel comfortable asking any question they have.

Sorry, that was more of a reference to her post in the Arts and Crafts forum.

Can anyone help me w/ wicca???? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese??

That just sounded like begging/pleading to me. While I do believe that all questions are valid and should be voiced, for sure, I just don't think the original poster should be that desperate for someone else's opinions. This kind of thinking (i.e. I can't do it myself, I must have someone to teach me) is just counterproductive, IMHO.

Would you say it's more or less counterproductive than offering an upturned nose rather than actual assistance?

With all that has been said since the original post, either the originator of this thread has chosen not to accept help, or that was not the original intent of the post. Mayhap just to find out viewpoints?

Excuse me.
Believe me, i would never have said or done anything i thought would cause pain to anyone. I would like to make it clear that my laughter was in no way directed towards anyone or at them nor was it intended to be vindictive. I have a tendency to look at the silly side of things and bounce about like an excited puppy and if this was inappropriate then i sincerely apologise for any offence given.

Yes, if you ever need help with figuring out totally useless facts about life, such as the exact average torque required to open a standard size jar of dill pickles, or the average density of human fecal matter, or any other totally unhelpful fact, give me a ring.

I can help! :D
