Ceremonialists?

So, how many ceremonialists do we have here?

I voted that I'm not.. but I've always been interested in studying it. I just don't know where to begin! I don't know what books I could read, websites... or anything of the sort. :( So someday it might change if I can get my rear in gear!

Kind of why I am polling this. I want to see if anyone here would be interested (really) in discussing/studying ceremonialism.

Count me in, Mol. I seriously want to learn more about it as I've always been interested. It's a bit intimidating, I feel, and that's a part of why I've not really pursued learning about it.

Ok...I answered "a what?!" I'm not exactly sure what a cerimonialist is but by the name I have an idea of what it is. I would be interested in learning more about it.

I thought the ceremonies in Christian sermons were really pointless... when I was about 11. (Hey, look: "ceremonies" and "sermons" look similar.)

In the years thereafter, I learned about the value of ceremony. I don't think them pointless anymore. I'm sure I do use some ceremonies myself (although I'm not aware of any). But I'm not likely to join in Christian ceremonies ever again.

I guess I'm interested in studying ceremonies as long as it's clear what they are for. *Has a notion of purpose in the back of his head, combined with a notion for why these forums are here.*
