Hi.
I've sculpted several Goddess statues for myself and have recently thought about making more statues of a couple deities that I feel particularly drawn to at the moment. For example, I want to redo my Brigid and Hestia statues, partly, I admit, so that I can do what I feel would be a better job in the representation of the deities. Has anyone else done this? What do you do with the statues that you've already made, assuming that you don't necessarily have space for separate shrines around the house? Could you have multiple representations of a deity or deities on one altar? Thanks.

I have a shrine right now with three different representations of Apollo- a statue, a handmade doll that I comissioned from a friend, and a small toy figurine that I once used in a portable shrine. My girlfriend also has a couple of statues plus a similarly-made doll of Hermes on her shrine to Him. In the past, we've done both this and had more than one shrine. Currently, we have room but not really a very good place for more than one shrine to each and when we've had mo0re than one in the past, it generally seems that one gets far more use and attention than the other.

I can't think of any reason why it would be a problem to have moer than one representation of the same deity on the same shrine. As for different gods in the same space, I think that's between you and them. I've previously had Dionysus and Hermes in the same area, or Dionysus and Apollo. Though, those three are a couple of gods that tend to go VERY well together- far beyond the fact that they come from the same pantheon.

I know I have three variations of Artemis statuary on my shelf. That doesn't even touch upon the many variations of depictions of her on the varioud Greek and Roman coins I have collected. For me each depicts a facet of Artemis and reminds me there are always differing views of her.

For Hekate I only have a single statuary item and single Greek coin but that is do to the fact I have not found any others that speak to me. The same thing applies to Bastet in that I have a canoptic Jar for her but no formal statuary as none of those have spoken to me.

Yet Artemis, Hekate and Bastet all sit together upon the shelf. The oly one missing being Pahket who I have never found a statue of any sort for.

Here's a coin of Diana that I liked that reminded me of Artemis.
