Hello... I am very new to Wicca/Paganism. First, Id like to say that i didnt get into it for the magick or the counter-culturalism, but because its openness, acceptance, and love of nature fit perfectly to me. But I have a few things to ask... with casting spells, how to i call quarters or whatever.? could someone just gimme directions on how to call quarters, and maybe do a basic spell or something.? Thanks alot :). I think i had another question... but i forgot it... hehehe... well thanks alot for the time :).

Merry meet and welcome!

You can find a multitude of miscellaneous stuff like that in the Rituals and Magic forum. From what I've gathered, you just 'call' them in whatever way seems appropriate to you, though most people agree you should be respectful. :)

PaganInkubus is right...there's tons of great info in Magicks & Rituals and Divinations as well.

As for spells, I don't believe there is such a thing as "basic spell". To do any magical workings, you must have a need of something first. From there, you can construct your workings to achieve this goal. I know there has been a few threads on spell making in Magicks & Rituals.

Part of my daily ritual includes yoga, meditation, sending energies to friends and families that requested energies.

Welcome childe, both to MW and to the Sacred Embrace! Now on to your questions... First off be fore-warned that my purpose on this site is as the sole representative (so far as we know) of my chosen Tradition.. so a lot of what I say is likely to be colored by that. I do try to make it clear when I mean Wicca and when I mean Museic Wicca specifically.. okay then, disclaimer over, lets get to business.. ;)

how do i call quarters or whatever?

Well, whatever way "feels right" will work.. as has been said, check out the Magick & Rituals section of this forum for more info.. As a first recommendation though, try meditating on what each quarter/element/direction means as you see it. Practice visualizing different symbols for each one in turn: colored glows, geometric designs, animals, elemental creatures, etc.

The rest will come in time, from intuition and from lessons.

are there any daily rituals people do?
Sure. Some do more than others, a few don't do much at all. Just to give you an idea, I'll list the Museic practices...

Morning Prayer of Embrace (inverted for nightowls)
Thanks for the Meal
Conversation of the Muse
Evening Prayer of Embrace (inverted for nightowls)

And that's basically it.. some people do more, but that's all we "require".. other traditions have more, some have less.. Its all really up to what you think you need. Though I do personally recommend prayers for waking and going to bed.

 Merry Meet and Welcome!

Come on over to Magick and Rituals. At the top of the forum, you'll find a stuck thread, "The Mystic Wicks Book of Shadows." It contains a list of threads that might answer your questions, and I've been adding to it as new areas of interest come up.

Now, let's go inside and work on your spells ;)

Welcome to MW! :) Hope you like it here and like the others said, I think you'll find a lot on Magic and Rituals, but whatever you do, I think it has to be respectful... :)

Ha.. I'm going to remember this for all time; once, a long long time ago, I was right about something.

Merry meet and welcome RoguePoet! In answer to your question about daily rituals I will share with you my personal practices. Every day (not a specific time, but whenever i get the chance) I light a stick of incense dedicated to the goddess and i give thanks for everything in my life. This I guess would be my version of prayer, I am quite a practical pagan, and generally stay away from elaborate ceremonies. I think this way, it is easier to stick in a busy day, and just as meaningful. Of course, that is just how I do it, and it is neither the right way nor the wrong. Try many ways of prayer and find one that is right for you. Hope this helps alittle!
