View Full Version : A connection with music or my imagination

Hi all. Let me start by saying that I'm on my 6th Scotch whiskey and this just may be drunken rambling...

So... I tend to absorb other people's emotions a bit. Well, a lot. When one of my mates needs to vent they usually come straight to me which used to leave me feeling like crap. About a year ago I did a psychic development class which taught me some really effective psychic defence techniques. (If anyone is in Adelaide, South Australia, I did the class at the Adelaide Energy Healing centre on Prospect Rd.) So I'm okay with my mates venting now because every night I meditate to boost my psychic defences.

Anyway... Tonight I'm home by myself and decided to get into the Johnnie Walker and listen to David Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars and I noticed that when drunk I seem to appreciate the music more than usual. And not just now or for this album.

Generally, when I listen to music while alone and drunk I seem to 'feel' the music flowing through me. I feel like I'm a part of the song. I know that alcohol can lower one's psychic defences and make one absorb others's emotions more than usual, hence why when out drinking on the town I can feel emotions that aren't mine. (I've been told that this is a common thing for sensitive people.)

So, my question; am I feeling the musicians' energy or am I just drunk? Did I have a connection with David Bowie's energy or is this just the alcohol talking?

Your drunk

Alcohol intoxication, or anything that lowers ego boundaries, allows you to experience a range of sensations more vividly because there is simply less "you" getting in the way

For the best possible results, but strictly hypothetically you understand, LSD is indicated
