This was inspired by a question I was asked today and I though I would share it. Not shamanic only in perspective or usage but though this the best place to put it.

Speaking to the Green People’s

One of the questions I have heard many times upon my pathway is in reference to speaking to the various peoples of the planet. While many have little to no difficulty comprehending how one speaks to the 2 & 4 legs there is usually a great deal of difficulty in speaking to the other peoples. While each is a worthy topic unto itself for this discussion I shall only speak upon the Green Peoples and how I relate to them.
With the 2 & 4 legs things are pretty forward and in your face. Barred fangs, growls, pawing at the ground, snorting and a thousand other means of expressing themselves. Granted it does not mean we as humans read their language correctly though we do tend to get the general idea. But the Green People’s do no such thing; well that’s what we as 2 legs assume from what I see.

I think the two greatest impasse when dealing with the Green People is that of recognizing when they speak to us and understanding the difference between the standing ones and the rest. We are so used to hearing when being spoken to that we miss it when they speak to us. While the notion of sight is important in communications with the 2 & 4 legs it is critical when speaking to the Green People. Critical in the sense those visuals with them are so subtle that most times we simply ignore it or miss it completely.

With the standing ones subtle movement seems to be one of their biggest methods of communicating and getting our attention. With some of the Standing Ones they seem to shiver or shake and cause just a bit of movement. Now many times it is passed off as a gentle breeze moving them but if you look closely you notice some differences. You notice there is no breeze and nothing moves but that one tree or shrub. You might notice that a single tree seems to be moving opposite of all the other trees surrounding it. Other times it almost seems to be a play on light and reflection that gives the appearance of movement where there is none.

While subtle movement is most noticeable with the Standing ones it also applies to the smaller of the Green Peoples. Where a tree or bush may seem to shiver or shake their smaller kin will twitch a leaf or series of leaves. They’ll use the optical illusion of color change by rolling their leaves or turning them to catch a different angle of the sun. Other times it’s almost as if they steal the energy from around them to make themselves stand out so that you take notice of them. One moment unobserved as you look then the next moment like a spotlight has been shown upon them and you can’t divert your attention away from them.

Color diffusion or enhancement is one of their methods of getting your attention. It’s like going into a field to gather flowers and asking the plants which ones to take. Those, which are willing or ready to go seem to grow brighter and stand out with vibrancy that, pulls your attention to them. Though I have to state that the vibrancy is directed to the one asking not those that maybe standing there with you. So one may see a vibrant plant another may see the worse looking scrub of a plant.

Ironically though this is probably one of the most frequent ways of the Green People speaking to the 2 legs. We really do not know what it is about a given plant; shrub, bush or tree as we gather them or buy them but we know it is the one for us. They speak to us on some inner level and we respond and choose those particular plants over all the others that are present. Sometimes its not even a full plant but some branch, leaf, flower or fruit that seems to stand out and lets us know that is the one we are to take.

Scent is one of the Green People’s strongest methods of speaking to us, yet it is also one we might misinterpret fairly easy. Just because we smell the Honey Suckle does not mean it is speaking to us personally it is just telling the world it is there. There-in lies the difficulty in using scent as a communicator, for in most instances its like tapping into a party line and not a private call to us as an individual. However it can not be ignored in the facet that it just might be aimed at one of us in particular.

So how does one determine if it is a party line or a private call? In the situations I am familiar with the scent network is usually associated with other indicators. For instance everyone might get just a subtle hint of a scent upon the air yet the person being called is overwhelmed by it. Say its Mint that is calling you, so those with you have a faint smell of it, sort of wispy in aroma. Yet the person being called is overwhelmed in their senses, they smell it so strongly they almost taste it, can feel it upon their skin but most of all get the image of it in their mind.

The other usage is sort of misdirected in action. Let’s say you’re in the woods and everything has that smell of wet leaves and decay. It dominates everything and everyone smells it. However a particular plant or tree wants your attention and releases a scent bomb that focus upon a singular person. Even before you’ve truly smelt it the underlying callings have registered upon your mind and you begin looking for it. It’s almost like being in a hypnotic state as you blindly go looking for it but at the same time know which way to go and how far to go to get to it.

Now that scent bomb brings us to the other difficult facet of speaking to the Green People, as 2 legs we use words to present images but the Green People use images to present words and concepts. Wrap your hands about a branch or limb and you’ll begin to get imagery in your third eye. Yet that is the biggest cause of failure in that we try to convert the imagery to understandable words or notions in our mind. We try to force the picture to match our perception and understanding of things.

Therein lies the breakpoint. The plant images and means of relating to their surroundings are different than ours but we try to see it in our paradyn. Yet if we can stop trying to analyze and just look at what is being received one can see the images and gain words from them not use words to try and understand the image.

I think part of the difficulty lies in the notion of the Green People almost having a hive mind or group collective mind. They do not see themselves in relationship to the individual plant but in relationship to the whole area, species, grouping, etc. This is especially true of the smaller Green People’s as they relate and speak of themselves as part of the greater whole not as individuals. The larger Standing One’s are a bit different in that they do at times speak of themselves as unique individuals but other times as part of the larger woods. I should note for me the sense of being individual is most displayed by those tree’s who have been left alone and are pretty much removed from other tree’s.

Now I won’t say this is the only way or the only correct way it is just what I have come to notice and have experienced. Like any form of communications there are many ways to speak and many signs to show what is being said or conveyed. So while one works for me it might just be something different for another or differing triggers that spark or grab their attention.

The Green People’s will speak to us and do so quite often. The hardest part is that along the way we seem to have forgotten how to speak to them and read their signs and perhaps most importantly how to listen and see. Yet they have not forgotten us and still try to speak, quite often to my perspective.
