Something you were cynical about but not anymore ?

Was there one thing you read about or heard discussed in pagan conversation that you really doubted ? Do you still doubt that thing or has it came to you ?

When I first became interested in Paganism I was skeptical about the idea of a goddess. I knew she existed in almost all ancient cultures, but was she real? I am over that now..I know she's there..she just one half of the divine aspect that I used to believe in. A nice long walk under a beautiful October orange/yellowish moon about a year ago changed my skeptisism.

The idea of casting a cirlce and being able to 'feel' it! But not anymore!:D

I still have trouble with the circle casting . I don't feel it much at all , but I tend to feel in more in solitaire rituals than in groups . I know it will come with time and practice though.

My main skeptical thing was dragons and unicorns , I did not read about them in pagan books , but heard pagans discussing them as if they were real . My thoughts were like umm someone has read way too much science fiction fantasy books . Then a few years later I got my secret name in a dream from a white unicorn . That has opened my mind quiet a bit .

I never really doubted anything when I first started, and I don't douby anything now, either. I guess my biggest beef was "psychic powers" and how *everyone* and their grandmother claimed to have them. Then again, I knew they were there.. it was weeding out who was lying and who wasn't. I still have problems with that. X_x

For me the only thing I really doubted was if I was doing the right thing choosing my path at the very beginning. Now I have no doubts in my mind. In fact just the opposite with "Why didn't I do this sooner?". There have been other things of course that have come up, but nothing major to the point where I don't bother thinking on it now.
