This week begins with a great but subtle significance as Uranus, the planet associated with sudden change and awakenings, moves into Pisces today. Heralding the beginning of a gradual 7-year shift in global consciousness, the last time futuristic Uranus traversed Pisces was from 1919 through to early 1928. It has been travelling through Air-sign Aquarius since 1995/96, a time during which we have seen astounding changes in the world via communications, science and technology. It zaps briefly into Water-sign Pisces between now and September, giving us a taste of things to come. In September it heads back into Aquarius, when we will be given a chance to finish off old business related to the past 7 years.
Late December 2003 it will zip back into Pisces where it will remain until 2011. And unless we have a birthday at the very beginning of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius, we will only gradually become aware of the change in social consciousness as time passes by - however, be aware that what happens in the world is a result of what we are all personally doing, thinking and feeling. Plan ahead for 2004, make it a year to meditate and turn inward. Pisces, ruling the inner and psychic worlds, is very different in nature to Aquarius, which manifests out of logic and intelligence, so we are likely to see a turning back toward a respect for feelings, sensitivity, creativity, imagination and less of the rational, cut-and-dried approach of the past seven years. The next Full Moon is on the 18th in practical Virgo - bring things to a tidy close.
