OK!

So it has been awhile (I should say years) since i have posted anything, but better late than never. A little background to this ritual:

One of my good friends confided in me that she thinks she is empathic. After talking in length to her about it, i decided to write a ritual to help her focus on herself until she is better able to control the influx of energy she is dealing with on a daily basis.

It is as follows:

Binding someone's gifts

Items:

-Ribbon or string
-Representation of person
-Fire

Wrap the representation of the person while chanting:

" Bind their gifts until the time, that they are shielded from their minds eye."

After Wrapping the representation, place the item into fire and say:

"As we burn this in the flame, We shield it from all other shame.
As it turns it into ash, Hide til they want it back.
As we will it,
So mote it be"

Once the item is reduced to ashes, take it outside to bury it. (preferably at night During a waning moon, although anytime will work).

_____________________________________________________________

I strongly suggest trying to strengthen your control over your gifts before doing this ritual, but i also realize that sometimes life gets in the way. In those cases, use the ritual. Keep in mind that this will only be temporary..... So work on your shielding.

Blessed be!!

Interesting ritual. Binding is a tricky one, personally I'd never bind anyone even with their permission. Not a fan of mucking about with that sort of thing.

However teaching them to shield/ground would be helpful.

Teaching them to shield/ground is ideal, I know there is plenty of information here for them to learn. I tried to formulate the working to allow it to be lifted easily. And I personally performed the ritual with my friend both present and involved. I would never suggest binding someone without their permission, unless they present a danger to themselves or others and even then only if all other ways have been tried.
