I seem to remember seeing it mentioned a few times in the Book forum...have you tried a search for it there?

Hello,
New to the forum here, but the moderator and I go back a ways.
One of the absolute best books you coud get your hands on for Druidry( in this humble one's oppinion ) is "Thorson's Principals of Druidry" written by "Emma Restall-Orr" the co-founder of the BDO in the UK. SHe is an exttremely knowedgable lady.
I've been in Druidry many years and I think it should be almost a requirement for any Druid. One of the first lines in the book is; "If you want to know what Druidry is about, go take a walk in the woods." Wonderful for beginners, or even old timers like Twig and myself.
Always remember, the best judge on any book dealing with the Path is yourself. If it doesn't feel right, then it's not.

Often these words go unnoticed. So I will quote them. :D

I'm glad you agree.
My wife and I were part of a Pagan discussion group at a Borders Bookstore in Phoenix for awhile, and sooo many of the other members were seeming to grasp at straws and not following their heart on what to do, how to do it, or IF they should be.
My daughter-in-law is one of these. She's Wiccan. She'll do a money spell without ever concidering the reprocussions- will this draw money away fom some time when we REALLY need it?- Will it cause problems for someone else? Case in point; They were severly tapped for money for rent a few years back, my son had just started a new job, so she did a money spell. Well, the next day, they found a wallet laying next to their car as she picked him up from work. Inside was no ID and a sizable sum of money. It wasn't a fancy wallet, possibly belonging to a typical blue-collar. Could it have been her influence with the spell to cause this person to drop their wallet? Could that have been this person's entire weeks wages in that wallet? Did that person's family go without until next payday due to this? For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
There's too many "ifs" and "what ifs" in a situation like that for my tastes.

so I ws thinking about doing a spell to help me save money. Does anyone have any suggestions about things I can think about. I've been trying to save money on my own but seem to lack the will power to actaully do it!!! After reading the post above was just wondering if you all could think of anything that I need to ponder before actaully doing one!!! Thanks guys!

Hmmm...
I don't see where you could harm that way, that seems more of a call to the Gods to help you shore up your willpower. Best thing that I can think you could do would be just to thouroughly think out your wishes and intentions on this and see if a "spell" is what you REALLY need to do for this.

Thanks I've looked and I've even got money going into an account that come directly out of my paycheck, but it seems like something always happens to where I feel like I "need" to use it.
Thanks again!

I seem to find that the money spell that works best for me is to just ask each Quarter to help me bring lots of money into my life. I susually end up with a modest amount of money and always without hurting anyone.
How did we get on to this topic anyway? ;) I thougth we were talking about a book!!

At this point I'd add--or take a walk down your street, check out the 'pocket parks', keep a journal of what happens in your backyard.........etc.
I think the single most exasperating part of so much modern druidry is the lack of an 'eye'.........

I agree with Maggie.......
The sheer magnitude of will can lead to a greater fulfillment of our needs and wants..... When we pay attention to the little things that are in our lives, the spring from which we may drink flows ever so much fuller........ Keep the "eye" open and be maleable to its' direction...... I find candles to be a great source of contentment, concentration and relaxation for my spells.....

I'm extremely glad to see that both of you know how to learn from observation> it is a skill that too many people lack nowadays.
