Just wanted to share a funny story

So I posted an ad on craigslist about a week ago in my home town, just saying that I was trying to find other pagans or open minded people to get together and have a social group with or a drum circle. The first email I got was this.... I find it funny...

saw your post and wanted to respond.

i spent 39 years on the dark side...witchcraft, coventry and so forth. at the end of the day i was more depressed and confused than the day before.

i am curious, when you said be blessed in your post, what exactly did you mean? satan is destruction and death, which is no blessing at all.

I just thought it was funny that this person claims to have been on a pagan path previously, and for so many years, and still seems so mislead about our spirituality.... It just seemed so strange to me! Perhaps this person was into Satanism... Who knows. However, I kindly explained to him/her that Paganism is nothing like Satanism. haha and that there is no Devil in the Craft, only the potential evils that dwell within all of us. It's up to us to be good people! And if we make mistakes, and all we do is blame them on God, then we will never learn! We must take responsibility for our own lives and our own souls! =}

Interesting idea to post something on Craigslist. When you post something like this, you have to expect some really odd responses.

On the bright side, at least he screened himself out for you. :-)
