I guess I should move the thread I started ages ago eh?

http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16016&highlight=Comics

I started that one when I started reading "Green Arrow" Only because Kevin Smith was writing it. I soon got into comics in a BIG way. I like the Indie's that come out a lot. In fact, NewWitch, in their last issue did an article on Pagan comics. Some of them, the guy at the comic shop I frequent, has started to order. It's good to have friends. :D

Are we talking comics and/or graphic novels?

My favorite comics are definitely Calvin & Hobbes and The Farside.

My favorite graphic novels can be found in the thread posted by LdyStarlite. (The Sandman...stuff like that)

I never read many paper comics. When I was younger my peers were reading Archie and Betty and Veronica, and I could never see the pull. Mind you, I was reading Stephen King at the same time... ;)

My favourite online comics are PvP (http://www.pvponline.com/) (Player Versus Player), and Get Fuzzy (http://www.comics.com/comics/getfuzzy/index.html). Check 'em out! :)

I know there are tonnes of great ones out there, but those are the two I read daily.

I see them when I go to my father's house or online. :)

I never got into Marmaduke.

My Sunday regulars besides those I've named:

Family Circus
Beetle Bailey
Shoe

OK, I did try a search for this but all I got was the thread on favorite cartoons, so...:D

I was re-reading some of my Calvin and Hobbes books the other day and realized how much I miss seeing it in the paper. Bill Watterson is a cartoon genius. C & H is definitely my favorite strip even though it's been gone for 7 + years.

Some of my other favorites:

Peanuts -
My fav as a kid, I was drawing Snoopy from the time I could pick up a pencil.

The Far Side -
Gary Larson did more with one panel than most cartoonists do with half a page.

Dilbert -
I didn't like this one until I started working in a corporate environment, then it all made sense. Not the greatest artwork, but I think the humour made up for it.

Anyone else?

I have a soft spot for Zippy and the Far Side.

...And when I was about 4, I was certain that God looked like Andy Capp. (Why, or where that idea came from, I have absolutely no clue.)

Huh. Well, I did a search for "comic strip" and not comics, I guess that's how I missed it...?

Well, I guess if this can be combined with the original if the mods see fit? Sorry!

Ah, now I feel better...:D

I read not too long ago that Bill Watterson has considered starting Calvin & Hobbes up again. Ideally it would be on a weekly basis as opposed to a daily strip...
