IF YOU Or any others WOULD LIKE TO MEET FOR THE PROTEST TODAY!

I will be at Pioneer courthouse square from 1:30- 1:50 in front of the tri-met ticket place.

I will be wearing a bandana or army "boonie hat", a green hooded jacket with Adidas on the sleeve and carrying a wooden staff. I should be hard to miss.

Hope to see you there.

Peace,
Twig

Damn!

i read this thread just before we went out the door Twig (about 11:30), and was really looking forward to linking up with you.
but we only got as far as Volcano Stadium when the car started to crap out! we debated whether to push on or not, but finally turned around at Brooks and limped home.

i REALLY wanted to be there today too!
well, we did (and still are) send our energy to the cause. but i'm very disappointed right now.

Well POO no Greenman! Hehehe, A rousing success anyway!

I have a corkscrew willow staff that is one of my tools. On each momentous occasion I record something on the staff in one way or another to "mark the memory". This time I wrote my spirit name as divined by runes. (I really must talk to the divination forum about this unique type of draw.) Then I went to my alter lit incence and prayed, tied on my medicine bag, said another prayer, put on the celtic knot necklace that is my statement of office, said one more prayer and was off.

A bus ride, the max train under the west hills and upon exiting from under the mountain into downtown was greeted by the sun and the promise that I WAS making a difference by an elderly lady who wished she could still walk the distance needed and then she told me that her spirit would be there also.

Hopping of the train I realised that it was 1:48. Alas, I waited 5 minutes but no Greenman. Very well, his spirit will be here.:) Walking the 5 blocks to the Willamette waterfront more and more people were evident streaming in5. Good, I've got time before the march actually begins. People EVERYWHERE! Why do I always find the ONE place where the anarchists seem to gather. :smash: Bad anarchists! Hehehe. Five minutes later there they go! Trying to take over the morrison bridge they incur "Johnnys Wrath" and standing below my eyes slightly well up from sympathy and pepper spray wafting on the wind.

THEN with the resounding booming of the 15 piece "No War Drum Corp" it begins! And then...10 blocks down the road a funny thing occurs in this carnival atmosphere. There is close to a city block ahead of me devoid of people. I peer around behind me and it appears as if I am leading the entire march! :bubbles: :T :nonono: Turning around I Raise my staff high and I SCREAM PEACE NOW!!! I am answered by close to 50 people who scream NO WAR!!! Within 5 choruses the response to my pleas of "Whatta we want?" is the call for PEACE! so loud my ears hurt. GODS! I can't explain what that did to me. :heartthro: :heartthro: :heartthro:

This little scenario played out 3 times during the march and by the end my staff was literally humming with power! The numbers? About 30,000 people stretching 38 blocks!!! I swear though, if they make these peace marchs any longer this old man will have to take a short cut. Hehehe

And then to add an exclamation point to the day I am waiting for the bus after stepping off the max train and the most brilliant rainbow I've seen in years appears after a freshette of rain washed my tiredness away.

And you were All in my thoughts the whole time.

I Love you all. Peace.
