View Full Version : What Do You Use to Read?

OK, then, since this is the "not tarot" divination forum, what else do you use to do readings? I read professionally with Runes, Rune cards, Runic Palmistry, Medicine Cards (animals, primarily of North America), & Wolf Cards (just got the new COLOR deck!). I also fool around with scrying mirrors & crystal balls, but that's just for my own amusement. Of course, like most of us, I started with tarot, but it always felt like a "second language". I heard once that, to read (like, a book) in a language, you have to be able to think in that language. Guess I just don't "think" in tarot; I have to keep stopping to "translate".

And do you read "professionally", or just for friends, or just for yourself?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Hmmm... well, tarot is my strong point, but I also do some divination with a pendulum. I haven't gotten into it very deeply yet. I also want to get a crystal ball and do some scrying.

I use tarot, runes mostly, but I've got a crystal ball ( just a small one but still...) and I have tried scrying, and I've tried some palmistry a couple of times (don'r really like that... doesn't work well for me...) and I would love to try to use a pendulum...

Mostly I do readings for myself, sometimes for friends but I often find it more difficult to do readings for someone you know very well, it is easy to interpet things that aren't really there, only because you know them so well... I find it easier to do readings on people I barely know or don't know at all, however I don't get the opportunity all that often...

And Rick, what are Wolf cards?

Well I am learning tarot, numerology, astrology, I Ching, palmistry, runes, I have scryed, used crystals of all shapes and pendulums. I love them all!
I have the Zerner/Farber deck, the fairy tarots, the faery wicca set, the druid animal oracle cards. I enjoy doing readings for friends, and someday want to make this into part of my career.

I use Tarot the most. I'm "trying" to learn Runes, scrying, and I Ching. I've used the pendulum before also.

I think the first deck I got (they came out in 1995) was called the Wolf Tarot Deck. They are black and white pencil-line drawings of wolves (many of the scenes are set in the American Southwest; I think the author is from New Mexico) in many aspects of their lives. Each card is numbered & titled ("Love", "Strength", Conflict", etc. The title doesn't always seem to fit the picture, though), and has a brief interpretation printed on the card. I just got the new deck that's in color, with many new images (seems the author re-thought some of his ideas, & added some, as well; worked out for the better, In my opinion). I basically don't use the interpretations on the cards, rather I use my knowledge of wolves & interpret the images in that way.

Sounds really interesting... so do you like use tarot spreads or how does one use them?

On one of my tarot decks (Gill) each card also have a name, like reason, peace etc. and that can both be a blessing and a curse, because it can get you off track when you feel that what you sense isn't the same as the cards name... but sometimes it can be a blessing because it can make you look in the right direction... :)

They come with pretty minimal instruction (and I had been using mine for a while, before I found the instruction card in the box  doh!) I use a nine card layout, kinda like the points of a compass, with one in the center. It's been my experience, generally speaking, that there are no wrong layouts, just those that are "traditional", & then all the rest.

I scry; runes; palms; tea leaves; smoke; pendulum ; inscinct.

I have been known to use runes, and the pendulum for readings in the past, but not so much these days unless I need more clarification on an issue. I also have a ouija board I picked up in an antique store but I haven't used it yet.

But, my favourite decks are animal decks. I feel they can be used in any manner, from drawing cards, to looking up the meaning of an animal you come across in the wild.

I started out with the "Native America Medicine Cards" but my biggest bond is with a fairly new deck out called "Wisdom of the Australian Animals". I think this is because I'm Australian mainly and familiar with the animals.

Well - my most useful tool is my pendulm. However, when the spirits and my guides don't want me to know anything - I get crappy readings....

Sometimes I call my seer. She gives great readings - but the same goes for this one too - if my spirits don't want me to know - more garbage!! PLAUGH!!!

Usually - I just use my "feelings", which are accurate most of the month -until my cycle hits!!!

I think the best thing is to stay in the flow of things and just let life take us...shove us...move us through life.

Hiya all!!
Everyone's methods are so interesting and inspiring!

Your Wolf card's sound gorgeous Rick ~ Just like ya ;) (yeah, yeah I know...)

I mainly use Tarot, but have just been learning and really getting into the Runes, they are brilliant on their own but also back up my Tarot readings amazingly accurately! All my readings are about energies which come out from the cards and the runes ~ so I could say I use energies :)
& I have also used my friends Crystal Ball and my Saturn Spa ball quite a lot recently ~ I find gazing so mystical and although I dont understand it at all (dont understand most things though!), I really believe.

I used to use my Pendulum alot but havent for ages (bowing head because havent in ages..) ~ and will get it out again tonight thanks to you guys! :) Ive got some important questions at the moment...

I have never charged for a reading and would feel a bit difficult doing so, but totally respect people who do charge a small ammount and maybe ask for a gift. I mostly read for myself and friends and friends here! & sometimes get asked by strangers....
..I have two Tarot decks at the moment ~ the Mythic and the Secret (still waiting for my Sacred Circle to arrive) which I value with my life! and absolutely love my Runes because I made my own out of Jasper stones ~ each one is so different and beautiful and I really feel with them now....and have promised Rick for so long this piccie so here goes!!

Rick

...Silver, your Runes are gorgeous! I really love the bright blue sigils ('course. I'm a bright blue kinda person. Sometimes, I'll covet blue things).

Silver! Those ARE georgeous!! Do you carry them around with you? Are they heavy?

Silver Venus
July 2nd, 2001, 11:35 AM
Thanks you guys!! :D :) my Runes are smiling and dancing about now!

I choose Ice Blue as a colour for ~ inner light, inspiration, protection, peace, magical insights and healing ~ so maybe thats why you like it so much Rick!

Wildchild hun ~ I dont carry them about with me all the time but always have them ready to go in a suede green bag my sister gave me..and from time to time I carry them in my bag along with my Tarot...They always go out together now :)
& they arent heavy at all ~ Jasper is a really light stone (I think! well these are very light!) and they're the same size as in the photo!

So glad you liked them :) Ill try and read for you all with them when Ive got some more time.

Hiya hun,
Heres what I got for you Isa, Wunjo, Tiwaz and Algiz :)

I choose to just let the stones drift through my fingers then throw them down when I left right ~ I throw Isa down first ~
This stands for a challenge so maybe you are going though something at the moment that is taking too much of your time up and thus is starting to get to you? It also told me that maybe you need to be more aware of a challenge or one that is about to happen?
Then Wunjo was next to Isa to the right ~ I think this is saying that if you do recognise and want to solve the challenge that is troubling you ~ and if you do everything can turn great and happy again! Or maybe you want perfection and this is your challenge? Its a great lucky rune! Which brings joy and happiness.

Then Tiwaz landed away from the other two with Algiz ~ These two are both very strong runes to me ~ Tiwaz means victory and justice and Algiz is like a shield protecting you...Because of the way Tiwaz is shaped like an arrow and Algiz is to channel energies I think this is saying that you have to solve this problem. You have to take action and just go for it ~ whatever it is I think you need to let it all out and talk about it. Only then can you move on and find your true joy and love... which is Wunjo.

Hope that was understandable! That was my first LDR wow! Hope its ok and Ive touched on something ~ I got a really strong feeling that it (whatever it is) can easliy be solved you just have to be prepared to solve it? Does any of this make any sense?

:)

Rick

A really good reading (I'm assuming it's for me, & not Wildchild ;) ).

Another aspect of Isa: consider 1000 to 1500 yrs ago, living in the far North. The world is cold 9 mos out of the year. In the dead of winter, the hardest substance would be ice. So Isa can represent long-lasting strength (the very strength of Ymir), in that sense; the strength to see it through, so to speak, to weather the challenge or adversity.

That's the only other thought that came to mind. You're really a very talented & gifted reader, dearest Silver Venus. I shall "gird my loins", take up spear & shield, steel myself to the hardness of ice, & seek my true happiness...

Hiya darl, Heres which stones jumped out of the bag for ya :)

Found this very puzzling at first but heres what i got...

I did the same thing as for Wildchild ~ I just let my hand find the stones then trhow them out...
To my furthest left was ~ Jera: which means year right? So maybe your thinking allot about the year ahead or maybe this reading is for the year ahead.. its also about change and I really get a feeling for change here...

Next fell Mannaz to the right and up a bit. This is areally male rune and I totally get that from you and this spread ~ lots of M's and big lines... I think may have something to do with work ~ maybe youve been thinking about how to change this year at work, how success is going to come in time for the fall..your thinking about your own life and everyone around you much more ~ in your work place and at home. I think responsibilty is big at the moment?

To the left of Mannaz fell Thurisaz, Thor's rune! Another very strong male stone! Look further into yourself for your own truth ~ identity, strengths and weaknesses. I get some sort of conflict I think... Maybe conflict with yourself? Mid life crisis!?

Dagaz fell under Mannaz, this stands for day ~ day ~ year?
fits with infinity! Day and night. I get total extremes form this reading and this rune says all that ~ maybe you are trying to go to two different extremes in your life ~ trying to do to much this year? Or did last year?

Ehwaz which means adapting to circumstances to me, a journey! & again is a very movement rune about adjustment for transformation and progress..

Ok then so whos having a mid-life crisis!! Lol, only joking... know that wasnt so good ~ hope you got some things from it though!
:)

Thanks for letting me read for ya both :D

Thats really interesting about Isa and totally fits the reading doesnt it!! Ill remember that ~ thanks :D

Thanks, Silver Venus! There has been something I'm going through lately. At this point, I'm not sure what to make of the whole situation yet. You've given me lots to think about. You're right...I have been procrastinating on this & it's time to do something about it.

Thansk for the feedback Wildchild ~ I hope you get it all sorted out soon :)

Yeah I use both Tarot and Runes ~ have been hooked on Tarot for years but just (last three months) started with Runes. So I am more comfortable with the Tarot, but I kind of feel and get the same from both of them ~ I nearly always (at the moment) use the Runes after I have done a reading, and this backs up my readings loads and normally brings out one strong point in the reading for me to focus on. So I think the Runes are more to the heart of the matter than the tarot in a way, but thats maybe because I read them as one answer/issue where as I read the tarot on a few different levels.. Am I making any sense?

I guess I find differences ~ The tarot has pictures to read and the runes just symbols ~ but the energy that comes off both are just as strong but different in a way..I guess I see the runes as more to the point! (Never thought of that before ~ thanks!)
Do you often find that too?

:D

Rick
July 11th, 2001, 08:25 AM
I find that, compared to most other divination media, Runes are brutally frank. No dancing around the issues, no mincing words, no cushioning the truth.

The differences in Runes, tarot, I-Ching, Medicine cards, etc, etc, etc, is kinda like reading the same book in different languages. To be fluent in a language that is not your "mother tongue", you have to be able to learn to think in that language. Example: I am fluent in Runes (doesn't mean I know everything about Runes any more than I know every word in the English language, but my "vocabulary" in both is pretty large). I am not so fluent in tarot (I have to stop & think about "this card means this or that", or consult a reference). Also, there are words, thoughts, concepts that sometimes simply do not translate from one language to another. In other words, sometimes the details might be subject to different interpretation by using one divination media rather than another, but the basic message should still be the same.

Silver, I think I liked Wildchild's reading better than mine... :D .
My reading was a good one, as well (but I already knew that those are the only kind of readings you give). I tend to resist change (or maybe try to put off change as long as I can), & that usually bites me in the butt. And responsibility usually indicates growing up, & I tend to resist & put off that, too. :bigredgri

Rickey, what do you mean by > but I already knew that those are the only kind of readings you give? > Are my reading always the same? I dont mind at all, if thats what you think ~ just wanted to know what you do think because I cant remember half of my readings :D

Runes are brutally frank ~ thats totally sums them up for me too!

No, no, dear... your readings are always good (doesn't mean you tell me what I want to hear (DOH!), but you do tell me what I need to hear).

I stand by my earlier statement: you are a very gifted & talented reader, & it's obvious to me that you have put a lot of time & effort into studying your "craft" (which I feel is necessary, no matter how "natural" anyone may be). I don't speak these words lightly, nor would I refrain from telling you if I thought differently (just privately. Kudos are best when served publicly).

No mincing words, no compliments just to give compliments. You are a really good reader.

Thanks babes!! It has taken a lot of work to learn the Runes and feel comfortable with them ~ espeically becasue Im used to my Tarot pictures to spark it all off... I still need lots more practise, and to break away from their conventional/book meanings a bit more..but practise makes (near) perfect.

Mm I've used runes, a crystal ball, a pendulum, and a ouija board, but my favourite divination tools are my Faerie Oracle cards and Unicorn Tarot. I find the other ones a little simple and I don't get "emotions" or "feelings" from them, just simple answers, wherein with tarot I stare at these lovely cards and am awed :)

Normally all it takes is to hold something personal like a watch or ring or lighter, then things come on forward although some of the really good stuff comes with a handshake or to just stand near them if they have a problem it will surface then, but at times I am often surprized by pain if I am too close, and the person hides the fact they hurt from others it is the first thing I will get from them. If I am in a room full of people that is active with energy I often have a hard time telling where it is coming from.

Poor Blue he cant hide much from me!!

I've been working off & on for about a year with runes. I've only tried tarot long time ago with a deck that a friend lent me. I do have a deck but never felt comfortable using it...it was too large & clumsy for my hands. I've been thinking of getting the Wheel of Change Deck but have not decided yet. I always felt the runes were more to the point but was curious if it was just me.

Sherry your gift sounds so interesting ~ Have you always experieneced these energy pulls when around people or did you develop your sensitivity? I guess you have always had it.
I experience sort of the same and have since I was a little child, my parents used to say I was overly sensitive to people, I was, but to there energy, sometimes I felt very happy but mostly I used to get very freaked out by it all. But I dont get anything of personal items and I cant sense the persons actual problems or past ~ Just the energy they give off.
Can you tell me a bit more as to what you actually experience please :)

Well, I mostly use runes for reading. (Though I do have some tarot decks as well.) My runes come from a strange source though, so while I'm good at using them and happy with them, I don't know anything about their history. Heh heh. Oh well. Such is life, eh?

It's funny though, because they were originally intended for magickal use specifically. However, it wasn't long before I had applied them to divination. :) I was just so familiar with them and comfortable with them that using them for divination seemed the right thing to do.

Bright Blessings,

hello all, im new to this forum, i found it by surfing on in, hope you all dont mind me posting my own ways that i read for others, i use tarot and mediumship the most, but i have runes crystals and pendulums that i am just now learning as well as auras and chakra's. i read mostly for friends online in a chat room i go to, i wont post the URL addy cuz i dunno if i can do that here or not, let me know if i can post it, if you all want it, its a place for free readings and you all can read whichever you want there, but the only sad part is, is that wicca and the craft is not an agreeable subject to be talked about there. for what reasons i dont know. but anyways, thats what i do and how i read. just wanted to say hello to all and merry greetings. :)

My latest divination tool has been the Sacred Scarabs (aka Egyptian Scarab Oracle) by deTraci Regula. I'm in love!!! They are like runes, but in the form of a scarab, with a hieroglyph engraved underneath, each hieroglyph having it's own meaning and so on.

Even though I've only had them a little while, these scarabs have become second nature to me it seems, every reading I've done with them so far seems to be quite accurate, so I'm thrilled! I think they've been waiting patiently for me to come along all this time... :)

I'll be adding a pic to the "Pictures of your Divination Tools" thread as soon as I get around to getting it off the digital cam.

Medicine cards always work for me! Accurate, to the point and no confusion as to what I'm being told. These are by far my favorite tool. I'm looking forward to trying scrying.
I've also got a couple gifts such as empathy especially with animals and a wild intuitive streak that I can't control. Maybe this is normal. Normal or not over years I've tried to ignore these facts but finally embraced them. Working with animals brought a huge release to me. Being around a large group of people make me and always has made me edgy although on a one on one basis I make a good counselor. The intuition thing I can only let come as it will even though the inklings for future are not always positive. Anyway I'm changing careers from electronics to medicine and the decision feels right and finally, after years of struggle my path seems clearer if not busier. Whoops, I'm writing a saga about my life now.

hey,HEY, is that snoring I hear out there. IT IS!!! CATCHA !

Well tarot cards are my specialty but I also use green dragon stones and i am attempting to learn rune stones and tea leaves. Although Tea leaves are much easier for me than runes. I can also sorta do automatic writing. ( I emphsize "sorta" cuz it usually ends up a picture)

Hi Starlight,

Do you have any more information on the green dragon stones - they sound intriguing! Are they something you made yourself or something your bought?

well Howdy Lilu
They're something I found in a book. You have to make them yourself. You take 6 rocks of approximatly the same size . If you can find white ones use those but I painted mine. On one side you paint a vertical line and on the other side paint a vertical line with a break in it . The lines are painted in green paint.
they're used to help in making decisons. The full line means yes and the broken one means no . You make the decison by how many yes's and no's you get (ex. 5 yes's 1 no.. act quickly). You put em in a small bag and take em out one at a time and roll them on to a hard surface. If you get an even # then try again .If you get it a 2nd time ask later.
:D

I generally use runes or geomancy. I make it a rule of mine to never read for friends who don't believe in it, and I never charge. I try to moderate my readings to two a day because it takes a lot out of me to do a reading for some one else. I do have a deck of tarot cards, but they were a gift from a friend, and I didn't have the heart to tell her that I didn't read them (she isn't wiccan).

Runes are cool!

I actually threw away my definition book and looked at the symbols and made my own definitions. It worked quite well. Right now though, I work with the Fairy Orcale cards along with the Animal Wise Tarot. If I do a three card layout with the fairies then I pick three animal cards to help clarify the meaning.

Since the fairy cards are extremely sunshine up your a$$ happy, it helps to have some balance by using another deck along with them.

I tried the crystal ball but whenever something came to me it would be off to the left of the ball and not in it. The same thing happens when I'm reading a person without tools, I look over their shoulder.

Gazing into a candle flame is quite awesome and I love using incense smoke.

Unfortunately I don't do it for a living. I have yet to decide my moral standing on excepting money for it.

I'm still in the learning process so I'm not proficient with any form of divination yet. I've never been drawn much to the tarot, it could be due to the fact that I have yet to buy a deck I like. I bought the Cornellian (not sure of the spelling) deck right after I started studying Wicca only to learn later that I hated the deck. Then I bought the Rider-Waite deck because I read that it was the best to learn with and still don't feel drawn to it. I feel that things might be different if I ever get my hands on the Witches Tarot, I've seen pictures and absolutely love it. Anyway, I digress, I've been working with my pendulum longest and really like it a lot. I just recently started working with the Faerie's Oracle which seems to be wonderful and a lot of fun.

Hiya Firesprite! & welcome to our friendly forum :)

Sounds like you've been really busy recently with learning new divination tools :)
I love the Pendulum too!
& the Faerie's Oracle is really good isnt it ~ I havent got ont but my friend has and she has read with it for me a few times ~ I love all the cute fae :)

To discuss Tarot more ~ we have a Tarot room ~ hop over there and see what you can find ~ theres lots of lessons and deck discussions going on :) Sounds like you havent found the right deck yet... Ive got the Secret, Mythic and Sacred Circle and really connect best with the Secret.

Here theres lessons on scrying, making a scrying bowl, pendulum work, dream interpretation and lots more :)

& we are currently discussing Runes ~ have you heard of them before? They are Odin's (the norse god) Runes and as there are 24 of them ~ They are (I think..) allot easier than the tarot to begin with and learn... Maybe you could join in with us too :)

Till now, when working with tarot cards, I've just been using the Major Arcana. Dunno why...all the wands and swords and cups are just confusing me. The cards of the major arcana are much more personal in their meaning and symbols.
I just finished creating my own tarot set (which also just consists of the Major Arcana :D , but mainly because I was to lazy to draw all the swords and stuff...)

I prefer doing my reading with runes though, or with the ogham alphabet.

If you ever want to read here for people with your urnes and ogham theres a victim list stuck at the top of this forum! :)

Your Ogham oracle sounds interesting! Ive never heard of that before ~ what is it?

I don't know pretty much about Oghams myself yet. It's the early "alphabet" of the Celts and/or Druids, kind of tree alphabet in form of runes.

Here are some links:

Yeah, I finally made it over here! And no, I don't let Rick tell me what to use, although I'd heed his counsel in a heartbeat. Like others here, tarot is my method of choice, but Runes are tied with them in first place. I currently work off a set my husband made some years back. Runes seem to give a more focused set of answers that Tarot; there's less "digging" with the runes regarding information and motives, at least for me.

I also work off the Lakota Sweat Lodge deck, but not so much anymore as Michael (my better half, and indeed he is) keeps this deck with him most of the time and is working with the Shamanic archetypes of the cards. Most of the spreads of the deck which were given in the accompanying book were similar to rune and tarot spreads, but the cards are not really predictive in nature. Much like the runes, they give you an idea of your current spiritual condition/placement. BTW, this deck doesn't tout itself as a shamanic deck, but Michael's particular path called for him to obtain some information and this deck seems to open the door.

I'm still working on scrying; sometimes I get images, sometimes not. I seem to do better with a big hunk of black and mahogany obsidian than with my mirror. I use the pendulum a lot too; I use one fashioned of bloodstone as well as one that's rutilated quartz.

Bright blessings, all, and have a great weekend. Thanks again, Rick, for the invite--we 'preciate you, Old Man!/robbie

just this last summer, while visiting my Mum and family
(to introduce my fiancee sp? <= female spelling?)
i did readings using a normal deck of playing cards

had a terrible headache afterwards, but gave out a
heap of info -- both past and future! :D

my Mum laster told me that my Gram would've been
proud; she wa the only other in the family that could
do reading with a regular deck of bridge cards.

I've tried for 6 years to get "comfortable" with a regular playing card deck. The lady in Richardson, Texas who reads for me does regular cards as well as tarot and I know 2 others who read off playing cards exclusively and do so quite well! Actually, the spread I use the most in reading tarot is a spread introduced in Marthy Jones' book, "It's In The Cards", which is all about reading with a playing card deck. The information in "It's All In the Cards", by Chita St. Lawrence has "stuck" with me fairly well, but I still have to use the book to help me get the final picture. Ergo, I only read regular cards for myself, as I consider it rather ungainly to be reading for someone else and needing to go back to a resource for clarification. My admiration for anyone who is "spoken to" readily with a deck of playing cards is deep, as I feel there's a lot of real channeling going on when you're doing this; there's just too many ticklers and roadsigns with tarot, which is probably why I use them....Come to think of it (sorry, I'm in a stream of consciousness mode and tend to get windy) channeling does bring about headaches for many, this could be why it hit you so hard after the reading. Just an idea, ok, back to work for me......blessings, and I'll try not to be envious/robbie

i mostly use tarot, the shapeshifter, robin wood and hanson-roberts decks. i also use the pendulem quite a bit too. i'm in the process of learning palmistry and i'd like to learn runes. i bought a set of bloodstone runes about a year ago but ended up giving them to my fiancee for his b-day because runes seemed a little advanced for me at the time also they seemed to suit him better.

I've had several sets of runes come to me only to go to someone else. The set I work with now was made by my husband (the name of the tree which donated the wood eludes me, as I am quite groggy with nasty medicine:sick:. A couple of years ago I purchased a set of bloodstone runes; they're great but they never "felt" like they were mine, so I gave them to my husband when we first began seeing each other.
I've also had a few pendulums go through my life; the first was one of the "sets"--pocket size, with a board, and I think the pendulum was a pewter ball with a hematite to hold at the end of the chain. Passed that one along to someone who was wanting to learn to use pendulums. Have had a couple of really pretty glass pendulums but I never got "firm" vibes off them, so they were passed along. I picked up 2 rutilated quartz pendulums in Mt. Ida, Arkansas a couple of years back; one of 'em went to my husband and the other stayed with me. And, a bloodstone pendulum found me as well. As with all stones, the ones you need always seem to know you need 'em and they definitely find you, one way another.

I have 3 sets of rune stones and I will use them if I feel that I need a backup assurance. I also have an old Arthurian tarot deck my grandmother gave me. As well she taught me how to read from regular playing cards. She also taught me how to read palms, tea leaves and crystals. The only problem is these do not always show me what I need to see or want to know. My other grandmother taught me to use water or a mirror or a crystal ball. To this day I will use her old crystal ball and look to another as backup. I have in the last few years begun working with I Ching. However even after all this time I mainly use them for protection around my home, I cannot decifer the oriental magick. I also helped my oldest son recently make his first set of rune stones. He actually has an amazing ability with them.

I do not read for money. I do not read for people upon request. If I am given a vision that a reading is in order for someone I will do it if they agree. I am extremely cautious when using my magick for or on anyone else. I take the harm to none to heart, whether by words, spells or fortunetelling.

Had a really 'zappy' experience with a pendulum this weekend. As mundane as it sounds....it found Michael's baseball glove and baseballs. He had literally opened every sealed box in this house and in the feedhouse as well. He had checked the garage and believed he had gone through it all....the pendulum rejected any choices other than the garage and sure enough, with morning's light he found everything he was looking for, buried under some empty boxed.
There's usually debate here and there about the 'entity' behind the pendulum; there are times when I can't seem to hold it still enough to use it. I vibrate too much when concentrating....alright Rick, I can hear you already.....:p

Last night, I was reading a bill-paying spell in an old Magickal Almanac that recommended using the pendulum to determine which bills to pay first. I am probably going to try this.

I'm like you, I can't get over the feeling that I'm influencing the pendulum so I don't use mine much either.
