My daughter just got 2 baby rabbits. A buck and a doe. Felix and Sarah. They're a Himalayan mix. Their so cute! For anyone who's never seen a Himmy, they are marked like a siamese cat. My daughters are snow white with lilac points and pink eyes. We have a hutch but need to get a good nesting box for them to sleep in. I will have to set up seperate quarters soon because they are brother and sister. I'll probably get Felix neutered and that way they'll be OK together.
New bunnies just in time for Ostara!:D

Oh, bunnies are so cute!
My dad and I used to be members of the American Rabbit Breeders Association; we raised some dwarf breeds: Netherland Dwarfs, Polish, Jersey Woolies, and American Fuzzy Lops. I miss my bunnies. *sigh*
They're great pets, you'll love 'em. You can even litterbox train them and give them free run of the house if you want. :)
And, yes! Pictures! Must see pictures! :D

WOW can you really!!! how hard is this to do? I am wanting to get some small critters for the boys, for fun & to begin teaching them responsibility. We were thinking of a kitten but my dad is really allergic to them, so I thought of getting some bunnies. We had two when I was growing up & I LOVED them. But never realized ou could litterbox train them! lol

Rabbits, like cats, prefer to go in the same place all the time. I use to have a house bunny and here's how I trained him. First thing is get an enclosed box to use as a litter box. I found a converted rubbermade tote box worked better than a cat box. I just cut a bunny sized hole in the side near the bottom and drilled a few air holes in the top for ventelation. You can remove the top for easy cleaning. Use pine or other bedding instead of cat litter. The first thing I did was just to let the bunny poop. Find out where he/she likes. Then put the box there. If it's not a conveinannt place, you can slowly move the box to where you want it, I moved our box about a foot a day. No accidents! BUT if your going to have a house bunny, I recomend bunny proofing your house. That isn't easy. Bunnies will chew on wires, carpet, furniture, sub-flooring..............
Basically they'll chew anything they can get their teeth on. I recommend a cage with frequent oppertunities to roam free. It's really safer for your bunny that way. You would not want yours electrocuted because of the TV or computer.

awww how adorable!!!
I used to have a black mini Rex named Baby... lol she was so cute. The trouble was, she **loved** my black tomcat and he was scared to death of her! LOL. She once hopped right up to him while he was sleeping under our kitchen table and wiggled her nose in his face - he woke up and jumped so high he bumped his head on the bottom of the table LOL
