* wry chuckle * I thought I was avoiding all that by having only one child, but she and her father ended up bickering worse than actual siblings. Nothing I said made any difference, so I simply stayed out of it. I would go into another room and do something to keep busy.
My sister and I bickered and fought all the time when I lived at home, but as soon as I moved out we became great friends, and we still are over 30 years down the roadr.

I was just home on 14 days leave because my grandfather died. I saw my two bickering and I'm sorry but I thought it was cute. :) I'm sure it's cause I haven't been home and able to see it every day on and on. We were driving from WV to OH or vise versa and Makenna (1 1/2) is talking and talking and talking and saying "Erica blah blah blah Erica Erica Erica" and Erica (4 1/2) is like "Makenna PLEASE SHUT UP!" it was SOOOOO cute. I told Erica this story of how when I was pregnant and she would be in the back seat "Mommy mommy mommy mommy blah blah" and I'm like "Erica PLEASE SHUT UP" and I used to say I couldn't wait to have the baby so Erica could talk to her. Now the baby talks too much for her.

That's why I own copious amounts of cotton balls!:rotfl: Not to mention a good walkman and a stereo I can crank to drown them out if need be!:D

Mine bicker. I wonder sometimes what they'd have to say to each other if they didn't bicker! What ever would they talk about?
They been visiting my in-laws this week - they've been on spring break. The silence in the house almost drove me nuts!
But the bickering does too!
.....I guess I have no choice! I'm nuts with them and I'm nuts without them! Where's the Planters Man?:p

UUGGHH today was THE WORST day when it came to bickering. I swear all 3 woke up pissed off & stayed that way until bed time lol I was ready to go bananna's .. And now at 9:30 at night I can hear the twins in their room talking & giggling & it just melts my heart.
Why can't they be that cute when their awake? LOL Okay, well they are just not today lol

My brother and I spent most of our lives bickering (and then playing nicely, etc). As we became teenagers, it got progressivly (and abnormally) worse, but now that we're both "over the hill" of 14 or so, so to speak, we've become pretty normal in the way we talk to eachother. I actually kind of find myself liking the fact that I have a brother!

Puma, hon, thank you so much for reminding me of that. My brother and I fought tooth and nail all our lives, until we both went away to college. Now we are really close in spite of all our differences. It may take a while, but I think my kids will get there too. Someday. Just not right now!

Yeah, me and my siblings fought like bitter enemies, until we "grew up".
I expected to hear some bickering between my children, but the thing that shocked me the most is hearing my son bickering with...himself. He never ceases to amuse/frighten me!

My kids become a true nightmare if they decide the don't like someone. We had someone at our house for a bit that they decided they didn't like and everything got so much worse while that person was here. It was hell on all parties involved.

Your kids are strong-willed guys, Yvonne. :) I know they'll grow up to be really strong individuals. Kids like that tend to stick together more as they get older, too.

Hi chariot_moon! welcome to MW- glad to see you made your way over here to The Family Forum. Your angel is beautiful- but do I see a gleam in her eye?? LOL!
Are your kids interested in paganism too? We have some great threads about raising Pagan children in the Family Resource thread, stuck at the top of this forum.
And "here here" to any and all ways to stop (minimize) the bickering!

I have a 2 yr old and my first "student" has just turned four. Both are girls and they bicker non-stop. Mostly it's the 4 yr old complaining/tattling on my 2 yr old. She lookes at me, she touched my backpack, she won't give me this or that" UGH! It's enough to drive a sane person to religion...or alcohol!
BUT, it is neat to kind of experience life with two children :)
