uhg. I got a "we would love to hire you but ohh sorry we just aren't going to" letter today. They'd called me in for two interviews! Why are companies like this?? -_-; they brought me in twice, seemed really excited, the woman almost promised me the job. . . and then they can't even call, I just get a letter.

:(

Know how you feel. Usually they don't even bother with a letter for me. I have to hunt them down and make an appointment to get my rejection!

That is heart breaking. Usually when you make it to the second interview and they talk positively about you accepting the position it usually means you've got it......except right now. This is one of the worst recessions this country has been in for quite some time. Don't feel like a failure. I'm sure you were well qualified. Maybe there is a better opportunity waiting somewhere else for you. Hugs to you!!!

I was told today I probalby won't be given the job I was told I had without question and have already been preparing for. It's not just companies. It's everyone.

Me either. I just sit there. Waiting, and waiting....And nothing.

i got bored a while back and applied for a job that i'm well qualified for, armed perimeter security at a "sensitive installation". i got the same letter you got puma. their loss, my life goes on without them and yours will too, and likely there will come something far better that you didn't expect. just as it did for me and the last job i quit before that armoured truck outfit i retired from hired me. i was sorry to leave them, in spite of the risks that went with the job, but it was time to retire. keep your eyes and options open, something good will come along for you.

I didn't realize things were that bad out there. Or maybe I was just lucky when I applied for another job I was hired for this one from the psychologist that did my psych eval for the other job. What job did you apply for? And where are you?
