Hollow out half of a watermellon and fill it with fruit and fruit balls the watermellon will provide most of the fruit filling but should be mixed with grapes, cantalope, peaches, berries ect......It even provides it's own serving bowl and depending on how many people are there and what uses you have for cantalope you can use those hollowed out for the bowls.

It depends on how festive you want to get and what presentation you wish to make. The watermelon fruit bowl is ALWAYS a good choice, and chips with various dips are good, try nacho chips (the colored kind), pita chips, bagel chips and present mutiple dips hot and cold, spinache dip with artichoke is good, hummus, salsa, cheese dip, guacamole. A big favorite with children and guys is always the cocktail weiners in puff pastry, miniature egg rolls are good and really easy to make with chicken, bok choy and bean sprouts with a little sesame oil, cayenne and ginger then roll them up and fry them. Sorry I will go on and on I love to cook and experiment!! Hope this helps!
