I'm just wondering what people's most bizzare dreams have been, and if you think there's a deeper meaning behind them... or if you think your brain was just being extremely imaginative.
I'm interested because last night Celtic_Angel and Yvonne became fighter pilots! :D I bet you guys didn't know you could fly a plane...
I figured that my conscious is trying to tell me that I spend too much time here. :)

hee! I had a mysticwicks dream the other night... it involved me requesting a forum to discuss the color pink! heh. Got the forum, too, I might add, lol.
Other than that, I'd say there are two dreams that have had the most impact on me, and they're bizarre because I'm not sure if they happened or were a dream.
One was a recurring one I had when I was a child. It was about me going to the top of the upstairs and then jumping off and being able to fly. Sometimes I didn't fly--and then there would be convenient pillows at the bottom. Sometimes I put them there, and sometimes they just appeared.
I say I don't know if they were real because I used to love sliding down the stairs on pillows, and have this feeling that I DID sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and stand on top the stairs and pretend to fly. Everything was so eerily silent, and sort of hazy.
The other one was also years ago. In it, I was entrapped in this dull, grey building. I wandered around everywhere before coming to a room in which my brother was stuck inside a TV set, begging me to help him out. There was a bunch of other bizarre stuff that I've forgotten over the years. Needless to say, it was a pretty unpleasant place.
Anyway, the best part is that when I was walking down a hallway, a little glimmering light appeared next to me and I asked for help on how to leave the awful place. She (I believe it was a "she" anyway) told me to open my eyes. I said that my eyes were open; I was looking at her. She told me No, really open your eyes. You're dreaming. That's when I woke up, and for just a second in the darkness there was the little glimmering light that had been my guide. Then she dissappeared. :)
Wherever, whoever my friend was that night, I thank her from the bottom of my heart.
Now, if you want really bizarre, I could look through some old dream diaries for my Buffy dreams, always full-out episodes. Pits and pieces of a few even happened on the series months afterwards! :D Anyone else have that thing where you can't wake up until you're dream drama has had a solid ending?

I dream stuff that comes true a lot. For instance, I'll dream about a certain place and then I'll see it later. Sometimes my dreams are very vivid. I once dreamt that my grandpa was sick in bed. My grandma said that my aunt and uncle couldn't visit him. The next morning, my mom told me that my grandpa was in the hospital. WEIRD!!!!!

When I was younger, I had a dream with a car accident. I could see the crash and I heard the word Pele. The next day, I had heard a news report of a car accident that happened while I was dreaming. Pele Limberg, a goalie, I think, from the Philadelphia Flyers was killed in a car accident. That really freaked me out.
As a child, I had two reocurring dreams. One took place at a Department store. In it I could hear the bells that used to ring codes for the employees. I told my mom that I had to go to the bathroom, and I went in with her, but she finished faster and waited for me outside. I would notice a bright Pink light emanating from the stall next to mine, and then spreading to the whole bathroom. It was fire, in my mind.
The other reoccurring dream was also about fire. I was at my aunt's old victorian home trying to get up from the basement, but the house was on fire, and the staircase I was on was also burning up and threatening to collapse as I tried to ascend.

mine that have the most impact on me are once that come to truth.
I dream one or two seconds of accual time and they are imbeded in my mind, and then maybe a moth later that second will happen.
its mainly just a means of seeing it and then having this weird feeling. But those are the only ones i remember. Except the reoccuring ones, where Im falling from the sky through dark clouds and then hit my bed and wake up. sometimes i will see a face, but i usually cant remeber the name of the person when I wake up.
A couple of days ago, I had this dream that I was at a party. Now, some of my friends were there. (I know very few people that I consider friends, and they wouldnt be at this party) This party was a "prep" party. If you know what i mean. There was a lot of people i do not like there, yet I talked on and on with the stupidest people. Then I woke up when I was tlaking to the biggest jerk in my school.

Actually I had a dream about asking MysticWicks members about their own dreams!! LOL! Well AR, ya beat me to it...actually my most bizarre dream was also my worst nightmare....
I remember going into my daughter's room and noticing that she wasn't breathing...I managed to resucitate (sp?) her and get her to the hospital...they hooked her up to all these wires and stuff and one series of wires was hooked up to what looked like an X-Ray, only it was showing all her veins and her lungs. At first they were all red but then I watched them quickly turn greenish-grey and her lungs filled up, and I watched my beautiful little girl die right there in front of me (note: I am bawling at this moment...it is still very vivid in my mind). My mother suddenly appears and accuses me of killing my daughter so I could have another baby to replace her. I was horrified, grief-stricken as I asked her how she could say that...I loved my daughter SO MUCH...I wanted her back...
I woke up sobbing uncontrollably and frightened my husband...he didn't know what was wrong because I was crying so hard, I couldn't speak. I am not sure what this dream means, but I pray to Her every day that it will NEVER come to pass!
Still reeling from a dream,

I once read a great book called "Lucid Dreaming." It changed how I sleep. It helps you to realize that you can change your dreams as they happen, simply by realizing that you can.
You are being chased by someone who wants to kill you. Well, you can use this technique to outrun them, abolish them, or even something silly like remember you have a propellar hat in your pocket, you put it on, and you fly away. The sky is the limit. I find that I am much more comfortable with the really bad dreams because I know that I can change it if need be.

LOOPY! Sorry to shout, but that is so weird. I think the same thing. I swear I jumped off the stairs, from the very top with my little brother all the time, but we would fly, or float down to the pile of pillows at the bottom. It was a long narrow steep stairway, and I remember it as a memory, not a dream. . .
Dreams are wonderful. Mine are very vivid. Had one about ticks the other night. They were purple and about 1/2 an inch to an inch big. I was at my grandparents in Saskatchewan, the first one I saw was on my grampa's leg I brushed it off and then was standing in the parking lot in the country and these big headed creatures with only a light crysal blue spinal cord surrounded in a dark violet/indigo aura. They were the ones who controlled the ticks which were embedding themselves under our skin, especially near the neck, were trying to take over us to give our spinal cord to the head things..... We were doing surgeries on everybody to remove the ticks. I was especially worried b/c I am pregnant (also pregnant in real life!) it was weird. I really enjoy my dreams, even if they are nightmares, because I know I am always safe, and I can have any adventure, and let my mind tell me the greatest stories! Dreaming is the BEST!!!

I used to jump off of my highest dresser, as a toddler, and fly around the room until I gently landed on the floor. I remember a wonderful, old, victorian ceiling light that had angels amongst the scrollwork. I would float up to it, and stare at the angels. I, too, rember this to be a memory and not a dream.

My most clinging and vivid dream is probably explained best by my writing of it that morning...
"I am flying somewhere ruined about 15-20 feet off the ground, it is night and I am facing the burnt remnants of a house, looks like the one on the corner, with a fire-escape and deck. I know without looking that I have wings, made of shadow.
"I land and get in a van with someone who looks a lot like my boyfriend only thin and almost Asian. We go to a place that looks like Center City, and as we drive by a restaurant, the windows blow out and people come running out screaming, but there is no smoke or flames. I am staring out a window, and my reflection turns cold, me and not-me. It tells me 'Heaven will never let you live'.
"I am then chased around a hopsital by policemen who think I blew up the restaurant. I find proof that I didn't in an office, but the proof looked more like a Giger painting or Tool video."
Anyone wanna try this one out? I haven't been able to make heads nor tails of it. ^_^

That's so weird! It sounds EXACTLY like mine, except I was alone.
Odd. Cool though. :D

I was sleeping at work one night (while my husband was working...there's a couch in one of the offices) and I had a dream that our truck was being broken into...when I woke up and went down to the car someone had really broken into it
my really weird dreams have to do with my mom...first let me say that my mom and I have a wonderful relationship and always have!!! The first was a recurring dream I had when I was younger...in was in a Robin Hood like setting in the woods and I am about to be put to death by hanging...everything is ready to go, we're just waiting for the person that is supposed to kick out the stool I'm standing on....this horse rides up and I realise that my mom is on it...she gets off the horse and as she goes to kick out the stool I wake up
the second one was very recent....I was still a teenager living at home and my parents were still together...my dad was at work and my mom and I were fighting because I was mad that she wasn't giving me enough privacy....all of the sudden I get this realization that she has killed someone and chopped them into pieces ...so the fight turns into that....I am so upset that I don't know what to do so I decide to go to my childhood church, I hesitate because of my wiccan beliefs, but decide to go anyways because the priest can't tell anyone what I tell him....I go to get my purse and realize it's gone and my mom yells "you thought you had no privacy before" and puts my purse into her pocket...I just get fed up and go to leave and my dad gets home and asks what's wrong...I told him "oh nothing, mom just killed someone and hacked them into bits"....he says "what????" I, although frustrated, repeat myself and walk out the door...my husband is driving me to the church when we come to the bus stop on the corner of the street...I look inside and realize that my cat is in there...I get out and get her...and then we procede to the church...
I have one other recurring dream from when I was younger but this post is too long as it is....if anyone can make anything out of these dreams, I'd appreciate it....I hope you all enjoyed reading them and laughing at my phychoticness!! sorry it's so long...I just can't get over how much detail I remember about these 2 dreams!! I usually have a hard time remembering main things in my dreams much less details....oh well...now I"m babbling...:) happy dreaming:)

you beat me to it, too! i had a dream that i posted in a couple of days ago, but i can't remember what it was. i'm pretty sure i could actually read it, but the perspective was somewhat from above and behind me-the-body.
i couldn't possibly say what my weirdest is, because they all have their own kinds of weird.
there are many things that i remember that people say never happened. some of them i know they just forgot about, but others i can't tell if they were dreams or not. makes for a rather fuzzy reality.
most of my dreams lately have been sorting through things i did that day or emotions that need to be dealt with. usually a combo.
lucid dreaming? i only heard about that a few weeks ago, but i play with them when there are discrepancies (this is supposed to be that, but it doesn't look right/this goes over there/etc), and am on the verge of waking. i've done that ever since i can remember.
...maybe i'll be better at this when i actually get some sleep?

I'm assuming that it was because I am learning more about symbolism and divination and finally got myself a Tarot deck :D
Raevyn- I had a similar dream about my son, over 3 years ago and I can *still* see him clear as day in the hospital. Scott has a minor heart defect, which he has had since birth, but when he was baby it was more serious. In the dream, he was back in the hospital, wearing his favorite Batman jammies, looking at me saying "why?" I knew he was dying and could do nothing. OK, now *I* am all teary. I don't think I will ever forget that dream and the feeling of loss I had when I woke up. I was hysterical too. I am thinking good healthy vibes for both of our kids that this will never happen.
My recurring dream was what I called my Terminator Dream. In it, I was being chased and no matter where I hid, the "Presence" could find me, just like Arnold and Linda Hamilton :) I had that one for years.
I just started a Dream Diary last week. I had a weird one last night that my 5 yo was going to jump tandem out of an airplane. I was going up with him, my husband was going to take pictures from the ground. He was going to jump with the instructor. And he friend from down the street was there too. I am thinking this has to do with him going to Kdg in September`That I have to let himlearn how to fly on his own and that there are other great people out there to help him. The friend will be going to kdg with him. Could that be it?
Tigerwallah, I have the Lucid Dreaming book and have read through most of it. I haven't been successful at all in working with my dreams. How did you become able to do it? Any hints or tips?
Happy dreams everyone!

I'd like to know more about the lucid dreaming as well. :) I've only been able to acknowledge that I *was* dreaming a handful of times in my life, (in full sleep mode, not just before waking up) and then I couldn't change anything, or I thought about the worst that could happen and was powerless to stop it once I'd thought it.
How does it work, exactly? :)

Here's a link. I als suggest the book "Lucid Dreaming" I don't have it anylonger, and do not know the author, but it is available in Barnes and Noble's New Age/Occult section.

I found that believing that I could change the dream was enough. For some, it requires something more. Good luck. :sunny:

Here's one I submitted to a Pagan Elders list I'm on:
Okay, I had a weird dream this morning. I mean, it's not like I don't ever have weird dreams, because I usually do! Anyway, I dreamed I was on my mom's farm and looked out across one of the pastures, and there were two koala bears playing at the water's edge of a pond. I yelled to my mom, "Kathy! Did you know you have two koala bears?!" to which she replied, "Yeah! Let me call Steve up the road to come get them." When she got off the phone, she explained that they belonged to a neighbor, but got out of their cages occasionally just to play in her pasture, sooo. I stood at the door watching them. Interestingly enough, one was a golden color, while the other was just "regular" grey koala bear color.
If that's not enough, I live in Central Kentucky! Why am I dreaming about koala bears?? :-(

First, I rarely have super-clear dreams. And if I do, I don't remember them past the first 5 minutes of my day. You know how that is...
Last night was puzzling.
I had a dream I was rollerblading, with a woman who for one reason or another I knew to be Celtic_Angel.
1) I can't rollerblade.
2) I have no idea what Celtic_Angel looks like.
It was in some city on the west-coast. It reminded me of Vancouver, but it seemed like it actually was some place smaller. It had this humid, pretty sterotypical 'west coast' feel though.
And it was on a bridge, one of those old ones made of stone with big steel arches, almost like a suspension bridge on the top.
Considering I've been on this board for a whole week, if that, I thought this was a little weird.

there is a lot of material to read but i stopped at this since I myself have been lucid dreaming for years. I read that book (if it is indeed the one i'm thinking of), and it was pretty decent...
then i just read back a bit and see that a link was posted... and yes i definitely recommend that book...
however.. is there anyone that wants more personal advice on lucid dreaming? i've been doing it long enough to help quite a bit... so if anyone wants to discuss it.. let me know.. maybe i'll just start a new thread.

Hmmm...seems as if I am showing up in a lot of people's dreams lately. While I am flatterd, it is kinda creepy.
Apotheosis, could they city possibly be San Fransico or Monterey??? I eventually plan on living in on of those places within the next couple of years. I don't rollerblade though. I'm too clutzy. :p
Anyways, I would post my dreams, but Tanna can attest to the fact that they are extremely detailed, weird, and long!!!
Tuesday night though I had a really bad dream. It is too long to put all the details down, but lets just say it was scary. For the first time in probably 10 years, it sent me flying into my Dad's room crying and shuddering. It took me three hours to get back to sleep and I only did when the entire house was locked up tight and I had a knife in my hand. The wierdest thing about the dream is that it wasn't wierd! Normally I mix up places and scenery in my dreams; my old high school turns into the college I am going to but the place is where the mall should be. In this dream the only thing out of place was my Grandma's car was moved over to the left a little, everything else made perfect sense! Even Grandma's car having moved makes sense. Everything was realistic. I even crying again now.
Anyways, that my recent bizarre dream.

I didn't see a thread here for this, although it could be there and I am just missing it ;). I would love some more information on lucid dreaming, if you don't mind. Let me look through the book and see if I can come up with any specific questions. And if you have any hints or suggestions, I would love to know them.
Thanks

I dont know i think half the time my mind is playing tricks on me, because i tend to do alot of astral projection during the day as well...so it gets confusing...especially for a solitary practitioner like myself.....i wish there were more people in my area....oh well...oh as for the dreams themselves....i have a tendancy to dream something before it happens, and either i really like the idea or i have forgotten to do something that my dream helped me realize, that i went ahead and followed my dream and did it...go figure...kinda a dija vu thing..

I usually forget my dreams within an hour of waking up, but I know a few of them would make really good books if I could remember them (and if I didn't wake up before they ended).
I once had an alien dream where everyone was running about and panicking that there were alien ships over everything (kind of like in Independence Day), except that everyone was going on about how "the mol" was coming to get us.
