i have a question for everyone, maybe someone can help me. Were do you get your faith from?...ok let me be more specific :D
how do you get to feel closer to your god/gods? What makes you believe? and if you ever lose your faith what helps you get it back?
im asking becuase i was once cristain, then i became atheist for awhile, i became a pagan for awhile, but now i seem to have lost my faith in the existance of any form of supreme being once again... :(
when i did believe, i had something to live for it seemed, i had a reason to get out of bed in the morning... now i just seem depressed again.
i want to believe... i have just lost the feeling that there is one.

I have never felt if I was an athesist. However, I once considered myself agnostic. Without spirituality, I felt lost. Since then, I have formed a good connection with a few deities. I have my faith in them and couldn't be happier. I feel content, since I believe that they are with me through all my times, good and bad. They give me that extra support.

I lost all faith in the Divine myself last summer. Then one of the Gods came and spoke in my ear. I'm not even sure I believe in the Divine anymore, and even if I do I'm not sure how it is expressed - in personal Gods, in an omnipotent All, in archetypes or names, etc.
FWIW, speaking from experience, getting up in the morning, you should do that for yourself - for the opportunities you'll have, the people you'll meet, the friends and family you affect. On my worst days I just had to remember my family and friends who'd miss me, ya know?
I think it's normal to feel like that sometimes. It can be disconcerting, but it's ok too.

One of my coven Sister's just returned to her Christian roots so I understand the "tug of war" that sometimes happens when a person is searching for their path.I personally found my way to the Goddess in my teens and haven't left since.
For me the Divine is embodied in Nature, I just look around and know in my heart there is something out there. As far as feeling close to deities, just listen, they always have something to say. When I was younger I would just talk to the Goddess before I went to bed. Not always about anything special just what had happened to me that day. I guess what I'm trying to say is that faith is so personal, individual. I would suggest setting aside a time for meditation. Just quiet you mind, listen, and try not to second guess yourself if you think you hear someone talking to you. Many Blessings:)
