Are there any cards that always seem to give you a problem? ....just cause you to draw a blank? Post it here, and everyone else...add your thoughts about the card!

:D

What is the trouble with the court cards? ...is it when to tell if it's a person or part of the situation??

I think, when reading ....I would say something like....either this is partially how you are feeling (what type of things you are experiencing) about the situation or this could be someone with these qualities .....do you know anyone like this?

Does that help any? Let me know! Make sure you get a good feel for the court cards, and their keywords! ;)

Oki, well what does the world tell us when it is upside down?

I know some don't read different things into the cards when they are upside down, but I usually do that, and sometimes I just turn them right afterwords to get the energies in the right direction... I do thease weird things, :) like when I get a card that means trouble of some sort, I put some card (like strength sometimes or another card that fits the situation) next to it, just to get the energies to move in the right direction... sort of to make things go better :) Does anyone els do this?

World Reversed:

Well, this card is usually integration, accomplishment, involvement, fulfillment. For reveresed, I think it just weakens the meaning of the card, though some say that it's opposites come into play.

I don't usually lay other cards to help out the situation.....I read it like it is, that way the querant has the knowledge, and can take steps to make things happen, or advert/overcome other obstacles.

:D

That is my .02 :sunny:

When the card is turned upside down, I sometimes feel like the opposite meaning is involved, but only for some cards and only sometimes, and maybe when I don't feel like it is the opposite, maybe I could read it as it has been weakened. I will try that in the future! :)

As for laying help cards, I only do that after the reading is done... :)

I just tend to draw blanks sometimes. For me the court cards can either signify someone involved in the persons life or coming to be involved (which makes it easier) or it can be the actual meaning such as the king of wands can mean a marriage or love affair in an upright position. But they all look similar to me therefore I can jumble their meanings.

I also forget everytime what the Magician can mean in an upright position. I know reversed it can mean wariness of others. But upright...ugh! I can't get it to stick in my brain!!!!! I think I'm fried on stress....

Think of the Magician as....in control of his environment. Every move he makes, there is a reason for it.....he knows exactly what he is doing and why. :D

Court cards....<sigh> they tend to be most everyone's most difficulty. My only suggestion, is if you know what the elements are....relate them to the suit....to help you remember the meanings.

King of Wands....wands- fire....fire- passionate, aggressive, warm....etc.

Hope that helped! ;)

Go with your gut feelings here! If it feels right....it probably is....if something just doesn't strike you that way....then it's probably the wrong conclusion. I feel you are doing the best for you. :D Listen to your intuition....mostly it won't steer you wrong!! ;)

Nice idea about laying help cards. I think I will try it....see what happens! ;) Thank you!

I was just going to ask this question! One of the cards that I *always* draw a blank on when it comes up is the three of wands. I don't know why, but it just causes my brain to blank out.

The key words for this card are Exploration, Leadership and Foresight.

The figure is standing at a cliff, or above the rest of the scenery. He can see the mountains in the distance. His ships are exploring....testing the water. From his vantage point, he can see many things and lead others....he can see the overall picture. I like to think of him as Christopher Columbus....exploring, the leader, foresight. He knows the steps he has take....it's part of his strategy. With exploration comes growth....(# 3 is of growth)...and wands-fire....are of aggression and passion. There is a driving force.

Hope this helps! :D

This was one of my difficult ones as well! For the life of me, I couldn't get leadership and exploration to gel with this card. Then I had one of those 'ping' microwave sounds going off in my head - the phrase 'when my boat comes in'. OK, this saying may be bizarrely English, but I felt this means that opportunities and good fortune are coming the querrants way, if only they take advantage of them.

When I thought about it later, to take advantage of opportunities your may have to LEAD the way and EXPLORE how best to realise the potential, so maybe I haven't strayed too far from the original keywords!!

Hiya everyone,
I dont really have a problem with any of the cards inparticular
(touch wood ;)) sometimes with the energies that are coming off the cards, as sometimes the are too hot to handle and sometimes to cold to get anything from.
~ I do tend to draw blanks at the start of a big reading from time to time ~ for the cards in their positions.....especially if I am trying out a new reading or a little nervous or I dont know the person at all and dont even know what type of person they are ~ sometimes I cant figure out how a few of the cards fit into the reading but this is always gets cleared up when I get started and start speaking, then a few cards down the line ~ they always fit in and then at the end and I often rearrange the cards into groups kind of like Emy does!
I group ~ say all ~ the past, present and future ones together in stages, all the good ones and then any of the bad ones ~ and advise them what they have to do to get rid of the bad ones and take more from the good ones... I have found that rearranging the cards like this isnt changing the reading in any way just making them see and listen more and easily to what you are saying.

Ill try the tip Emy too :D
