I'm thinking of getting grape vine tattoos wrapping around my arms, and some kind of letter that means Dionysus on my palms.

Are you asking for others?

Here are some sites:

Wildivine: The symbols of Dionysos (http://www.wildivine.org/dionysos_symbols.htm)
Theoi (http://www.theoi.com/Olympios/Dionysos.html) page -- throughout the site you can find symbols and associations with him. For example, in his epithets: Staphylitęs -- of the grape. Etc.
Also on Theoi summary page (http://www.theoi.com/Summary/Dionysos.html), mentions other aspects. Fruits, wine, Predatory big cats, ivy, grape, etc.
Dionysos (http://www.neokoroi.org/religion/gods/Dionysos) -- has some info
Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dionysus)

All these have mentions of the many things associated with him.

Hope they help!

Oh and here has other Dionysos tattoos of his devotees: Godmarks (http://www.hermeticfellowship.org/Dionysion/Godmarks.html)

I actually just posted on another thread (talking about Apollo) and mentioned getting a tattoo of Dionysus and Apollo. I so commonly see these two gods mentioned together and compared. Once again, within two threads of each, are people talking about them. :)

For the sake of topic, I will repost my idea... But remember... this is my idea, so no stealing it ( ;) )

What draws my attention to Apollo is that he is one of the greatest musicians and I can only imagine what a tune from him would truly sound like. As a musician and lover of music and sound in general, this is important to me. I have considered getting a tattoo of Apollo on my right shoulder and bicep area. The half sleeve would be a tribute to Apollo and would consist symbols representing him. Along with all of this would be staff lines representing the treble clef. This would wrap around the lower part of my bicep and work its way over my shoulder and go across the top of my back to about where my left trapezius muscle is located. On my right shoulder and bicep area would be a dedication to Dionysus, also consisting of a half sleeve. That too would be full of symbols and the staff lines wrapping around. This time, the staff lines would represent the bass clef, go under my arm (over also over my shoulder - do not know yet) and to across my back, under the treble clef and end by my right trapezius muscle. The two sets of staves would create a grand staff (as seen for piano playing - I "play" piano).

The purpose of this is that Apollo is the god of music. Musical order, patterns and the such. Essentially, I see him as the practical side of music and theory. Dionysus is also known for music but in the more loud, ruckus style where theory does not matter, it is all about the feel and attitude. It is as if Apollo was a classical composer and Dionysus is the punk/grunge music scene.

When passion meets practice - that is where true music is designed :)

Dionysus is also associated with the theatre! (all styles), maybe think about that too?
