I've always thought "Let It Be" was a great all-around Goddess hymn.

Meh. Mary can be considered a Goddess in her own right anymore. Ever heard of the Collyridians? They were a heretical sect in the early years of Christianity that actually worshipped her as a Goddess. The way they worshipped her reminded me of Asherah worship a little.

I adore Mary as an aspect of the Goddess. The medieval hyms - with and without music - mean therefore very much for me.

In that song, "mother Mary" doesn't refer to Mary, Mother of Jesus but the mother of one of the Beatles, I want to say it's Mary McCartney, mother of Paul?

Good song though. Very soothing.
