Excellent...

This caught my eye because I just finished reading a paper on Pompeii. :)

For a moment I thought this thread was going to be about some horrible stench in Pompeii because of the vocanic ash and dead stuff....

Relieved to find out otherwise. That would be really cool to have recreations of perfumes.

I had to check out the thread too because it reminded me of "Weird Al" Yankovic (the song "Smells Like Nirvana" ;) ). But yeah...old world recreations of perfumes would be cool. I suspect that many would be of a flowery nature. Many of the ancients, if I remember right, used flower essential oils for perfume. It would also be nice to know if they're made with natural products. There are some people out there who are allergic to some of the chemicals in perfumes on today's market that they can't either tolerate smelling them or having skin contact. I've noticed as I've gotten older, I'm becoming one of those type of people. Then of course there is those who like the idea of the history behind some of the scents like me. :D Perhaps a nice Cleopatra inspired scent...

Sounds like it could be very revealing! And for those who believe in past lives, smells are an excellent memory trigger...
:D

Then chances are good everyone would have a past life regression every time the plumbing backs up :)
