I saw this on the news tonight and cried.... haven't been able to sleep since. Less than 24 hours after 10 year old Holly Jones never came home from a friends place, her remains were discovered on the shores of Lake Ontario....

I live two hours from Holly's home and this story has hit me harder than any other i've heard of. Not because I live so close, but because I have been following it since she disappeared Monday night. As soon as the news station mentioned it I was glued to the television. I sat all day yesterday hoping that what they found in the water wasn't little Holly and when they finally confirmed that it was, I broke down in tears. I don't know the little girl or her family, but every time they show more news coverage I break down again. I was telling my husband about the latest happenings with it tonight when he came home from work and I started crying again.

What makes me even more angry is that they said that out of 600+ sex offenders in the GTA, over 250 of them live withing 3000 meters of Holly's home and since they only have to be registered with the province, the neighbours had no clue who these offenders are or where they live. It sickens me that it could be one of these morons that kidnapped her and did what they did.

Now they're saying that whoever did it made some major "mistakes" and should be easily caught, and I hope they find them right away. I hope the idiots are scared to death and that they get what they deserve, threefold.
