I have a question of the after effects of your first circle/ritual...
Now this may sound strange, but hopefully there are those who care to share and understand.

Yesterday, felt to me sort of heavy, but not a heavy as in weight, but more of a heavy pressure.

The majority of the day my face and head felt really strange, sort of tingly...

And i remember a twinge go thru my 4 & 5 chakra area, especially the fourth chakra. i'm gonna say sometime around mid~day. yet it stayed with me, only not so pronounced.

The night was beautiful here. The stars were clear yet so very far away...
The oak tops were between me and the moon.
i waited till it was totally eclisped to be within my circle.
it was basically a self~dedication.
A bit of ritual.
i chose to do add lib, though, i did go over what I wanted to put forth.
it was interesting...

i have felt a bit dazed and my stomach has been like that of morning sickeness all day.

i did ground, roots and all...
i'm feeling better now than earlier, but just awhile ago i was reading a nonsense thread somewhere else and it was funny, then someone said, Moon and the feeling hit me again...

is it possible to become intoxicated by the moon and feel the effect even now?

Do you do that?

is this normal?

did i not ground enough, though i have and have eaten...

i can't tell you about your chakras Flora, but i CAN tell you that it is not uncommon to feel a certain after affect from ritual, especially when that ritual was particularly moving.
in fact, i have the same feeling today from my Hekate ritual yesterday, a much stronger reaction than i usually get from a simple esbat.
usually this occurs after an intense sabbat ritual, and can sometimes last for a few days. i see it as a sign that your connection was especially strong.
when you put that much energy into something it's only natural that you will experience some fatigue, and perhaps even some disorientation.

so anyway, how did the dedication go? (you sure picked a powerful night to do it!).

Yes, the night was very powerful!

i think that was the reason i was so excited about it, and nervous, and considering what I've been thru in the past, I think I needed it to be a "special" time, to do this...

i can't express the hurt that I've carried for such a long, long time...because of the past, "religious experiences".

And i NEEDED a "powerful night"!

How did it go?
Well, considering I'm by myself, and still feel as though i really don't know what i'm doing, I think it went pretty good.
i didn't cast any spells, since i don't feel that i totally ready for that yet...(and I couldn't think of anything to spell for) and I didn't want to take away concentration from what I really wanted to do.

Though, I did sent out energy for healing to love ones' and the earth itself.
And loving thoughts to those i feel connected with... :)

i do feel lighter now, more calm... i guess, you could say.

I have noticed in the past 2 nights that when i lay down to sleep that i can't get comfortable untill I get into the star position, or spread eagle...
which is unusual for me...

And it seems that being able to go thru the 'roy g biv' colors, and going into visualization come alot quicker than they did before...

Yeah, it sounds to me like insufficient grounding. I had the same problem in my early rituals -- in fact, I didn't want to ground fully, because the high feels so good. But it's like any other high -- overindulging on tequila, without lots of water and aspirin afterwards, will give you one heck of a hangover.

Especially if you're the type that experiences ritual buzz easily (which I am), it's vital to ground fully immediately after closing circle, or you're likely to feel really weird the next day. After an especially energetic ritual, I need to prostrate myself on the floor for several minutes before I feel even close to normal, and then I have to eat a ton of bread. Nothing grounds better than bread - mmmm.

I don't know how those on the Atkins diet ground -- steak?

Best of luck!
