Yesterday my boyfriend and I came home to find our dog almost unconcious, and unwilling to walk or even move. She was barely breathing and was shaking very badly. Needless to say we were at the vets in minutes with her. However the vet says that she suffered either some type or seizure or a stroke. Unfortunately we can't afford the tests to determine exactly whats wrong, so we were told to bring her home and make her comfy.
She's starting to get much better, but she's 14, so she's not young, but I don't want her hurting or anything. So, any help would be greatly appreciated by me and my puppy.
Thanks everyone.

dont take this cruely, i mean it in a good way. so please do not get upset. She is 98 years old in dog years. every living thing must die at somepoint. Do not fear that your dog will die. Rather, be happy that it has gone to a far better place when it does die. You'll eventually see your dog again if it does die. However I will hope that when it is your pet's time to go, it will be a passing with little pain. blessed be.

I told a guy who I am crazy about that I liked him that way. i had to send him a letter since we rarely get the oppertuity to speak to each other anymore. I know people may say you have plenty of time left, but they don't now that. What I'm asking is that you send your wishes to help us speak to eachother soon. We only have 3 days left b4 we will not see eachother for months, assuming he does not move. If we talk to eachother b4 those days are, up perhaps we will be able to exchange contact information to keep in touch during this time. I realize some of you might think this sounds silly, but its very important to me. Its been driving me crazy not seeing him, not knowing how he feels. to put up with several months more of this would surely tear me up inside. please send your energy. thanks and blessed be.

Energy sent to you and your beloved pet

I know how scary it must have been to see her like that but just know in your heart that she loves you and knows you love her. She will always remain with you, I lost one of my furry babies in April and I can still feel him next to me on my bed sometimes ;) I believe they truely never really are too far away.

Poor dog. We all must die one day however and even though it will be sad to let them go, I'm sure they've lived a long and happy life and love being your dog.

I'm praying that they live without pain.

Thank you everyone who kept my dog in their thoughts the last few days.

I'm happy to say that after a second visit to the vets to get a medical opinion on what to do, and her doing bloodwork on Raggs, that she did not have a seizure or a stroke. Instead it turns out that there's something wrong with her liver. The vet thinks its a serious infection and gave her antibiotics, and wants to give this a chance before we make any final decisions. I'm happy to say that it seems the antibiotics and all the positive energy being sent our way seems to be doing a world of good for Raggs. She's eating again, and willing to go out for walks. She's starting to come around for the better. We'll know in a few more days whether or not she's going to be ok, or if we're going to have to help her on her way.

I just wanted to say thankyou so much everyone.

*****Hugs*****

At least with an infection there's something you can do about it. I understand everyone who has sent prayers, trying to comfort you that she's old, but I know it makes ya feel better that there's now something you *can* do about her illness.

I'm glad you at least know what the problem is and have ruled out the extremely serious problems.

*prayers for both of you*

((((HUGS))))

I will be thinking of you and Raggs. Hopefully the anti-b's will help her and she'll be right as rain again.

Prayers for your furry friend, and for you :) I'm glad that the meds seem to be doing good things for her. It's so hard to see your beloved friends ill. Continued healthy, happy thoughts and energy sent to Raggs :)
