nephew born today going for heat surgery

My Nephew was born this morning with a small artery in his wee little heart and is waiting for surgery first thing in the morning 6/4/03 to build him a new one. Could those who can, send strength and healing energy to baby boy Regan in the Philly, PA Children's hospital tonight and tomorrow? And strength to my brother and his wife?

It is much needed!!

My friend, my brother had the same problem and was a guinea pig back in the `50s for the problem you describe. Deformed main aorta I belive it was. Surgery was at the Bethesda Heart Institute.He was the first person (baby) to have such an operation. the doctors gave him maybe a year to live.

To make a long story short, he beat their odds by 15 years.

With the strides made in medicine in 50 years I see this boy living a long and fruitful life. Tell them they have the special prayers from the brother of the first person to have this done.

As I smooth down the hair on the back of my neck.

Thank you to everyone!!! The baby is doing great!! His surgery went perfect and he is doing well. The little one is just so strong!

So now I can explain a bit and share the awe of this whole thing..

my brother and his wife have known that the baby was going to need surgery as soon as he was born. The birth was set for three weeks from now. They were going to induce with the team of neonatal cadio surgical staff there and ready. Well. The little one must have known something. In the womb babies have a passage that allows blood flow from the mother .. Well from what I can gather through the emotional cloud, this closes when the baby is full term and can pump his own blood. Well being that this little guy's valve was either too small or missing on one side, when this passage closed it would have prevented blood flow thus needing the surgery at the time of birth. Well, apparently this little guy was smarter than the docs cuz he came three weeks early, at home 15 mins before my brother left for work. The mamma was in the wash room and said the baby is coming, my brother called the hospital and tried to get her ready but she said nope.. NOW. So brother called 911. within 5 mins a police officer arrived and mentioned this was his first delivery. What luck huh,.. your first one to be a high risk baby. Well, he was born in 15 mins and was holding his own. All because he still had that passage open. This little passage allowed him to have normal blood flow while he waited for surgery. So it's all very wow.. and very much proof that everythings happens for a reason.!! He will need another operation in 5-15 years but he's a trooper.

It seems the little guy took a bad turn over the past couple of days. He has a yeast infection in his lungs and his kidneys are failing. my brother is there with him and he is going to call me today if he gets a chance to let me know what is going on. So any prayers, vibes, energy that anyone can throw at him and my brother would be great.

Sad News.. the machine came off yesterday at 6 p.m. and the little guy's lungs just were not strong enough. He left his sick little body behind on this hellish earth and started his next journey. He felt no pain from what we know. We are heading out my brother's way to take care of him while he take care of everyone else.

Many thanks to everyone who send love and energy and prayers!! His purpose was clearly met.
