My sister, Charli

My sister, Charli and my brother, Bil were in an accident last night. Shortly after Bil took me to work (10 PM, AZ time), he picked up Charli and took her to the store. After they left the store they were broadsided on the passenger side of the car by a truck speeding out of an alleyway. It dented the car door in about six inches and sprayed glass all over the inside of the car. They had to use the Jaws of life to get Charli out of the car. She is pretty banged up, but should be fine. (Blunt force trauma to the chest. Cuts.) My concern is this: We all lost our Dad about a year ago and about that time and since, Charli has undergone 2 Angioplasties, a shoulder replacement and just recently cortisone shots in her knees with the possibility of surgery later. I should probably mention that she also suffers from Arnold's Chiari (a Neuro muscular disease) and has had 4 brain surgeries in the last 15-20 years to try and help with that condition. She also is diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic. On top of all that, she is a Unit Secretary at the hospital where our 3rd sister works as a nurse and is going to school to be a nurse. (The bright spot is we moved her away from her abusive husband 2 years ago...when he hits with a baseball bat, breaks your wrist and both ankles and tries to burn your house down with you in it ...not all at the same time, mind you...I tend to call it abuse.) Anyway you can see she has had a rough time of it.
What I'm asking for is a lot energy and prayers for my sister and a little energy for my brother (who was cut by some glass even though Charli got the brunt of it) She tries really hard and sometimes just about the time she sees daylight, someone or something throws another shovel ful on her head. Every little bit will help and is extremely appreciated.

First of all, thank you for the prayers and energy you've sent. We really appreciate it. My poor sister's luck is holding. It looks like the accident may have damaged her shoulder replacement. (It's a synthetic ball and joint) It could have jammed together or been broken in the impact...She sees her surgeon from the first operation tomorrow. I wish her luck. I know you do, too. (You guys are just too good)

Her surgeon has put off anything invasive for two weeks. In that time she will have physical therapy...at the end of two weeks he will decide if she needs surgery on her rotator cuff.
PS, the insurance company totalled our sister's (Debi) car. (The one Bil was driving and Charli got hurt in.)

Charli's "luck" is holding. Took her to ER because she is still having a lot of pain even thought the Doctor wants her to start using the shoulder in therapy. Finally the hospital took X-rays and she has a "greenstick" fracture of the collarbone.
Things have to start looking up for her soon. :loveydove

This is beginning to sound like a broken record, I know. Charli went to the doctor who did her shoulder replacement last year and found out that besides the fractured collarbone, she also fractured her scapula and 2 vertabrae. Please send some energy so nothing else goes wrong. thank you.

Good gravy! They are just now finding all these things? By all the gods may they have found everything that got injured in the crash, may they fix her up ASAP, and I'm sending energy for complete healing and a change of luck.
