Hubby and I are starting to get overwhelmed with bills.. and it's hard for me to find a job because I don't drive.

Good energies our way would be wonderful. I've applied at the hospital for a clerical position.. gonna apply at different restaraunts tomorrow.

Thanks, guys.

Loki, I don't know where you live, but here's something I found out when I got my new little job.........I work for a nonprofit that provides services to the adult developmentally disabled. They have group homes and private residences for their supported living programs. I found that there are dozens of these agencies in my area, and that they are always hiring. They are so desperate for people that you can even get on as a "floater," with the option of telling them when and where you can work and they call when you are needed. My position is one where I stay overnight for a day or two, which might be good for someone in your situation, if you don't have to drive your client to work and doctor appointments, as I do. I also recently found out that some banks and even medical clinics also hire "floaters."

Try looking under "social services" in your yellow pages for these agencies.

And unless there's a reason that you can't get a driver's license, you might want to think about getting up the courage to learn to drive. I had a license but no vehicle for several years and was able to find a job within walking distance but it was rough on my kids. When I did get a car, it came with a whole new set of issues such as insurance and maintenance costs but it does make life easier in a lot of ways.

**sending good job energies your way**

No matter how discouraged you become, keep applying for things. The law of averages WILL win out, but only with persistence. (I have to keep telling myself this, too.)
