I got my new deck today! The Sacred Circle! I traded for it in another Tarot Community.
I gave up my Arthurian Legend deck for it. Unfortunately, I didn't connect very well with the Arthurian deck, though it is VERY beautiful! I'd rather collect decks that I can read from!! ;)
I have gone through the cards, and the book (briefly)....and I think it was a great trade! ;) The cards are beautiful!
If you haven't seen this deck yet, you can see them here:

(I'm just so excited about having a new deck!)

You should do absolutely fab with the deck should you decide to get it! The authors of the deck are from England....and the book goes into details about Brittian Mythology type stuff! ;) So, if you know any of your folk lore,.....I would think you'd connect with it! :D

The funny thing is....the Fool is portrayed by "The Green Man"....you may recongize him....but I don't. Never heard of him. The picture have been taken at spiritual type places. (The high priestess card has Bridget's well....with a swan in the picture with the woman) They are really beautiful! Don't forget to get the book with the deck! (sometimes you can get just the cards without the book.) The book has some good ideas about spreads and meditation. ;)
So anyways....it's all about that entire region...Ireland, England...etc. I will scan a picture up on my lunch hour (just over 3 hours away) What pictures would you like to see that weren't posted in that link?
The borders for the cards are the corresponding element! ;) Makes for a beautiful layout! :D

Thanks for the info Dagda! Ive ordered my deck now ~ so excited! :D
I realised about the elements round the boarders when you put the link up ~ wow! ~ thats really clever and the tiltes of the minor arcana really help and inspire dont they! ;)
The little Green Man is a very celtic pagan belief here in England ~ I think from Ireland ~ he's kind of like Pan ~ really cute and funny I think and is often made into plaques for people to decorate their garden and house with.
You can read all about him and see picutres of him here...
http://www.endicott-studio.com/galgreen.html
"The Green Man is the vibrant spirit of the wildwood, of vegetation in leaf or bud, of spring, pool and river, earth and sky, indeed the totality of Nature. His voice is the hiss of the high wind in ash and oak. And his profundity those sudden silences of a forest when all Nature seems to hold her breath. When we hear or feel him no more mankind will have run its course."
From The Green Man by Ronald Miller.
:D
Thanks for the offer ~ if you have time ~ please can you scan in a few more of the major arcana for me? Maybe the Sun, Star, High Priestess, Empress & the Lovers!

Wow!! Those are amazing!! I can really imagine that you get totally sucked into them!
I love the Lady, the Web and The Shaman!
The shaman is a true alchemist card!
Are you sure the Druid is the pope and the Shaman the magican ~ I know it totally appears that way with the Shaman but the Druid having the four tools with him is confusing isnt it.
What the Devil like? Because thats an alchemist card and may be the Shaman....
I think Ill get very different readings from this deck than I do with my decks at the moent.
Have you read with them yet? How do you find them? Do you find them being called different things = meaning different things.. or do you read them as a tradional deck?
:)

The death card was in the link.
Are there any other's you'd like to see?
OPPS!! The Shaman is the Hermit! lol Silly blonde thing...The Magician is called the High Priest. lol
I had to go back and re-look at the Druid when I was first looking through the deck myself....but she's made the Druid the Hierophant....The wise one teaching kind of thing. :D

That really fits because when ever I read the Hierophant I always say you have everything (all the tools) you just have to believe in yourself..
The devil would be interesting to see :bigredgri

Okay, I've done one reading.
I did the Celtic Cross. I asked: What can I do to improve my financial situation?
the cards I got:
Covers: 10 Pentacles (discs)
Crosses: Knight of Cups
Below: Chariot
Behind: King of Swords
Above: Lovers
Ahead: Page of Swords
Self: Page of Cups
Environment: 10 of Cups
Hopes/fears: 9 of Wands
Outcome: Sacrifice (Hermit)
I tried reading with what I know....then I went back through and read what the author had to say. They were somewhat similar. :D
